  Dissatisfied

  Disappointed with the Check-In Experience I was very disappointed with this resort, particularly with the check-in and registration process. The staff were friendly at first and offered what seemed like a great deal — an upgraded room for $50 if we attended a 90-minute timeshare presentation. They assured us there would be no additional charges and that we would also receive coupons we could use at the spa. However, at checkout, we were surprised with an additional $250 charge. We were told the coupons applied to the room, not the spa, which was never clearly explained to us. When I requested a copy of the paperwork, I was informed that only the $50 receipt was available, which was very frustrating. The supervisor handling the issue was unhelpful and dismissive. Aside from that, the rest of the stay was acceptable, but there were still a few issues — the bathroom had no ventilation, there was a noticeable humidity smell throughout the resort, and the standard rooms were quite small and basic. Overall, the resort itself has potential, but the lack of transparency and professionalism during the check-in process left a very negative impression.

  Beautiful Resort, But Excessive Upcharges Left a Bad Impression

  The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful — the grounds are stunning, the atmosphere is relaxing, and everything was very clean and well-maintained. The food was also quite good, and overall, it’s clear that a lot of care goes into creating a great guest experience. However, what really took away from the experience was the constant feeling of being upcharged for everything. There seemed to be an extra fee at every turn — whether it was to sit closer to the entertainment, to sit in a particular area of the restaurant, or even to participate in the tequila tasting. I’ve been to plenty of all-inclusive resorts, so I completely understand that some premium amenities or experiences may come with an extra charge. But at your resort, it felt excessive. There were so many upcharges that it really diminished the value and convenience of choosing an all-inclusive option in the first place. It was also disappointing to see so many amenities — like cabanas or sofa seating areas — sitting empty because of additional costs or bottle purchase requirements. It would make more sense, and create a better guest experience, to open those spaces for general seating when they’re not in use. Even upon arrival, there were upcharges for early check-in or to become a “VIP,” which made the stay feel more transactional than welcoming. Overall, while the hotel is beautiful and the service and cleanliness were excellent, the constant upcharging left a negative impression and made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the experience.

  Perfect getaway: incredible spa, great food, and truly exceptional staff

  I had an amazing stay at Breathless Resort & Spa in Cancún. The spa was absolutely outstanding, beautiful facilities, skilled staff, and a deeply relaxing experience from start to finish. The food was consistently good with plenty of tasty options, and the hospitality from the staff was above and beyond every single day. Friendly, attentive, and always eager to help, they made the trip feel special. Can’t wait to return. ¡Definitivamente regresaré!

  Not for sea and beach lovers

  Then beach is awful, if you are going there for the beach and the see, don’t go, select another resort facing east. The staff was amazing. Rooms are nice, sound isolation should be reviewed and we found the room a bit humid. Picante abd fish net restaurant are very good as the buffet. Stay away from the French one. Pools are ok.

  My great vacation

  The location is convenient and close to the Cacun airport. You may take a Udeb for a quick visit around, or there is cheap public transportation, which I didn't utilize. The highlight of my stay was the great service, food, and drinks. The beach was clean, and the water was crystal clear. This time of the year is hurricane season, and we experienced quick rain showers a few times. That didn't ruin our good time and vacation. The room was spacious and clean. Modern and nicely decorated. The balcony was equipped with a table and a couple of chairs with a footrest. The room itself was a king-size bed, with 2 2-person sectional sofas and a coffee table, bar table, and 2 bar stools, a long desk, a mirror, the mini fridge (well stocked every day), a double sink, a separate toilet area, and a huge all-glass shower, with the privacy shade facing the balcony. 2 huge closets, safe, steamer, ect. The value I paid was worth it to me, and I always do my best to enjoy my vacations. The rooms were cleaned daily, but if you want your room to be cleaned at a certain time, you must go to the concierge and make a request. The noise level is OK. During the day, if you are at the beach, it may become loud as there is a public beach in front of the resort beach, but it's not bad. Also, the 2 pools on the lower building and on the ground get sometimes loud, but the Xhale club rooftop pool on the 29th floor is a quiet one. Service throughout the hotel was top-notch. All staff members (including all the departments or job titles/duties) were excellent. To mention a few: Sergio and Armando at the Xhale rooftop bar, Sameul and Johnatan at Silk City, Thania, Silvia, and Mercedes at the beach, Picazo at the buffet, Max, Rich, and Hugo at the Italian restaurant; Fish Nets: Mauricio, Julian and Christian, Chef Rafael and cook Johnatan, and F&B Manager Graciela Juarez. I am sorry I don't have all the names, but again, every staff member, including the entertainment team, was great.
