The lagoon
Tikehau’s lagoon is essentially a complete oval, surrounded by a ring of coral and islets. With just one pass into the ocean, the lagoon is home to an abundance of marine life. In fact, Jacques Cousteau claimed the Tikehau lagoon to be one of the most fish-filled places in the South Pacific. Because of this, diving and snorkeling are two of the main attractions in the atoll. You’ll likely spot eagle rays, colorful schools of fish and even reef sharks! The lagoon

The beaches
While the islets are small, the views are not! It’s easy to get from one islet to the other and experience the different beaches amongst them. Sables Roses is not to be missed. Here, you can experience beaches with sand that is a light shade of pink, made up of pulverized coral. Because most of the islets are uninhabited, it’s easy to stumble upon a private beach and get lost in the pure beauty of Tikehau. The beaches
