The worst place now.
I stayed at the Azul many times and have always enjoyed myself. I've met a lot of staff over the years, and they are all awesome. I'm returning for my birthday on Dec. 1st for 10 days and want to make a special request since we're arriving the day off. I've emailed the Azul 5x and even spoke to someone there and haven't gotten a reply. I'd hate to change my reservation to someplace else as I really miss the staff there and the beach and the vibe. Can someone tell me who to write to, please? I just returned from the Azul and after being there, so many times, I was truly disappointed. I didn't even get supper for my birthday and went to bed starving. None of my requests were noted, and I will never return to this broken down resort. The food was terrible, and we had to survive with meals outside the resort. We almost didn't make it to the airport in time because the taxi desk said they called, but they canceled the cab without letting us know. I'm mot kidding, avoid this place at all costs. I'm so dissapointed, I'm going to let every traveling site know to not waste your money at this resort. Can you imagine, going for your 65 th birthday and not even getting dinner. Never again. Their was atleast 2-5 issues daily and forget about getting a seat unless you get up at 5:30am, this is supposed to be a holiday. Avoid this resort at all costs.

We Would NOT Stay Here One Night
Our experience here was horrible! I take no pleasure in publicly disparaging this establishment so I’ll simply post pictures and let them speak for themselves. The employees are friendly and hospitable. Like Dean who took our luggage and the young lady who showed us to our room. They simply work there and try to do the best that they can. But the hotel itself is dirty and run down. I am shocked that they would even offer us a room in this condition. Spiders in the bed sent us packing. We were not going to lay our head in that filthy room one night. We could not get out of there fast enough and stayed at Sandals down the street. Hopefully this post will catch the attention of someone in charge who has the authority and the inclination to look into these conditions and make upgrades and changes. Fast! Buyer Beware.

Azul Spa - I highly recommend Meldena for a massage
We are Prestige members and loved our stay at Azul. We especially loved the beach and the staff. Also, I highly recommend a massage with Meldena at the Spa at Azul. It was so good that I had 2 massages with Meldena while staying at the resort. It was our 3rd visit at Azul and will be back again for our 4th visit next year.

sweet swims with mind blowing sunsets
This resort was beautiful and amazing staff. I haven't written a review in a while but the staff were so pleasant, helpful and kind that I had to write this. I went for the beach and enjoyed my sunset swims with easy entry and just deep enough to putter along especially just outside the buoys. The vegetation was beautiful and well kept. I met lots of kind staff members, shout out to Germain and the great bartenders and coffee baristas. As a foodie from T.O., I could have been more impressed but I did not go hungry. More beef patties later in the day would have been appreciated and the pizza at the Italian was not great to say the least. As for my room, it was very nice, some wear on the sofa but that's where the suitcase goes so no big deal. I felt very safe as a female solo traveler and really the staff were so friendly and kind I was impressed and pleased. The sunsets blew my mind here! Great stay but also couldn't believe a 5* resort wouldn't have the means to make a proper dirty banana, also the night life was Quiet, so if you enjoy puttering along in evening on your own, the palm trees are sweet but no real entertainment except some shows where the fire one was the best but not comparable to Mexico 5*.

Azul Beach Resort Negril: A Disappointing Stay
Our experience at Azul Beach Resort Negril was far from the "prestigious" escape we were promised. From the very beginning, the trip was riddled with frustration. After boarding the shuttle bus at 3:30 PM, we waited an entire hour before departing, and the journey dragged on until 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, this set the tone for what would become a week of disappointment. Food Quality and Dining Experience The dining experience at this resort is, quite frankly, abysmal. Despite the variety of food, everything was bland and lacked flavor. Worse, the food was hardly warm, raising legitimate concerns about food safety. Authentic Jamaican cuisine was laughably absent, and the "fresh" fruit was clearly canned or otherwise inedible. One evening, we tried dining at the Italian restaurant, but arriving at 9:25 PM (well before the 10 PM closing time) meant being turned away. This left us with the buffet as the only option, which, given its poor quality, was no consolation. Facilities and Room Condition The resort feels dated and poorly maintained. Our room featured stained furniture, chipped shower tiles, and moldy caulking. The view from our room was equally disheartening—overlooking a noisy road, we endured constant traffic sounds that penetrated the balcony doors. It often felt like the doors were open, despite them being firmly shut. Across the resort, furniture and facilities were in a similar state of disrepair, from stained cabana beds to broken beach chairs. Umbrellas for shade? Nonexistent, though their stands still remain, as if to mock the guests. Service and Staff Attitude The staff's attitude was one of the most disappointing aspects of our stay. Interactions ranged from dismissive to outright rude. Whether it was asking for a drink at the bar, hot sauce at the buffet, or assistance scheduling our return shuttle, we were met with reluctance and apathy. Poolside service? Nonexistent, especially on the beach, where the only staff interaction we had was being told the pool bar was out of order. To add insult to injury, the bars frequently ran out of ingredients. Mojitos were a rare find, with mint so sparse that other guests stopped us to ask where we managed to get one. Environment and Atmosphere The overall atmosphere was far from relaxing. The constant parade of vendors on the beach—selling drugs, trinkets, and services—was intrusive and unending. Instead of fostering a welcoming environment, the resort seemed more focused on upselling guests on upgrades rather than addressing fundamental issues. Final Thoughts Azul Beach Resort Negril fails to deliver on even the most basic expectations of a resort experience. From the subpar dining to the rundown facilities and lackluster service, this stay was a significant letdown. Instead of prioritizing unnecessary add-ons, the resort should focus on creating a genuinely comfortable and enjoyable experience for its guests. Until that happens, I cannot recommend this resort to anyone. We are only on our third day of a week-long stay at Azul Beach Resort Negril, and we instantly regretted our decision to come here the moment we arrived. This resort has been nothing but a series of disappointments, from the long wait times and poor service to the lackluster amenities and unwelcoming atmosphere.
