1 Star is far to generous of a rating for the front desk staff
The location was beautiful, and the resort complex was very nice, with a stunning ocean view from our room. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a major issue with the staff. Our original booking was unexpectedly cancelled, and the staff showed no empathy or willingness to help. They refused to credit us the $2,500 they kept as a cancellation fee, and on top of that, we had to pay an additional $2,000 to stay. The phrase "no problem" seemed to mean there was no problem for them—but all the problems were left for us to deal with. Very disappointing.

If you had a wedding Friday March 28,2025 at 4 Grand Gazebo and Pisces Tent.
I witnessed your food carted to the Pisces tent pre cooked early early afternoon hours before your reception. My fiancé and I are writing a review of our stay, because it was a nightmare. However- I wanted to post this ASAP in hopes you’d see it.

One of the Best Vacations
I was very impressed with this resort. After reading the previous reviews, I was nervous about finding roaches, and not only were there no roaches, the property was well taken care of and clean. Yes, there was some wear and tear on the exterior of the buildings, but did that affect our fun? No. The room was better than I imagined and very spacious. The views were spectacular. A majority of the staff were super friendly and nice, there was one bartender at the pool bar who was too serious, and gave me Coke with vodka when I asked for a vodka soda, my family and I had a long laugh about that one. The music by the lobby bar at night was fantastic, the violinist was my favorite. It was never too noisy either by the pool bar or by the lobby bar, just enough volume to keep the vibe going. The beach was beautiful, you have to walk a little ways to get to the good sand, but well worth it, and the kids got to do some snorkeling while there. Servers in the restaurants were attentive, except for one, which I will mention later. The food at the buffet was better than I expected after reading all the previous reviews. Some items are repetitive each day, but there is enough selection that you do not have to eat the same thing every day. The breakfast buffet had so many options that we were blown away by the selection. The main buffet wasn't open for lunch every day due to the low volume, but the other buffet by the water was just as good, not as many selections, but enough variety to keep us satisfied. They did mention the low occupancy, and I was glad there were not that many people there, it felt comfortable, no long waits at the bar for a drink, or for a table at meal time. Pools weren't too crowded, and it was easy to find a chair by the pool. The foam party on Friday was the best. With the music, foam, drinks, and games they were playing, we had blast. So for the negative things I encountered, which were not so bad that I took any stars away, because we still had a great time. The pool closes at 6 pm on the dot, and the swim-up bar at 5 pm, the pool bar at 5:30 pm. They do not have signs posted regarding closing times so the first day we were sad the fun had to end so early and unexpectedly. (But there was karaoke later that night, which made up for it). Not, necessarily a negative, but just a fair warning, there are stairs, there are many stairs, your legs will get a great workout, especially if your room is close to the main lobby. There is an elevator to take to avoid them, but for us it was more direct to take the stairs. They ran out of white wine and champagne at the pool bar the first day we were there and never restocked it the entire time I was there, even though I asked the same bartenders every day for it, so I had to go to the lobby bar, which I had to go up the 100 stairs each time I wanted some while at the pool. (Positive to that, I was burning some of the calories I was about to consume, LOL). The hibachi dinner was the worst and most negative experience of our vacation. We had an 8:00 pm reservation, got there at 7:55 pm were not sat at our table until 8:45 pm, making us miss the beach party bonfire. The chef was new, it was his first da,y and he was nervous, but he was good and kept us entertained, or we kept him entertained, either way, he was great. However, the server kept disappearing, the chef had to go find her several times, and once couldn't, so he brought another server to pour drinks. The food there was not that good, the rice was crunchy, and the vegetables were more like a salad. The sushi appetizer was warm and tasted weird. Needless to say, that was not the best dinner, but we had good company and eventually made it to the beach party. The only other thing that bothered me was that the bars closed so early Saturday evening because of the beach party. There was a bar on the beach, but they had very limited drinks, and of course, no wine or champagne. But regardless, I would come back to this resort in a heartbeat. It was relaxing, it had great views, and the people were so friendly. The entertainment staff kept us entertained. Thank you Bahia for a great vacation filled with many memories.

My experience
The atmosphere was incredible, best of all there were activities for everyone but, the service is terrible. You can only reserve twice for your whole vacation which is terrible. One night we reserved 6 people but it said 3. Then we asked to sit they said its full. However, there were exactly 14 tables open.
