  Fantastic Resort!

  We just spent 7 days at the Esmeralda and it was fantastic. I have been to the Dominican numerous times but this resort really stood out. It was great having access to the whole Bahia Principe Complex. The Al a Carte dinners were all fantastic and especially loved MEAT at the Ambar. We also frequently went to the Coffee Shop at the Ambar. We went as a couple for our Honeymoon and it was great as we spent alot of time at the "quiet pool" and the beach. However we have a toddler and could see how he would have loved it equally if we brought him. Theres ALOT to do for kids there including a waterpark. Overall would highly recommend this resort if you love a "small" resort. You can walk the whole Esmeralda resort in about 5 minutes.

  Fabulous value for money

  Absolutely fabulous hotel . Previously stayed at Ambar but much prefer Esmerelda . Great choice of pools depending on what you’re looking for from quiet whirlpool to all out activity . Easy prior check in and booked a la cartes via the app prior to arrival . The morning and lunch buffet staff are outstanding in their friendly service as were the staff at the pool. Rooms are Modern spacious and serviced daily . We dined at MEAT, Tortuga , Italian ,Greek and the garden grill the later our least favourite . Buffet choice is exceptional and you also have the sports bar and room service for more options alongside the truck down by the beach pool area . Grounds are spotless and highly maintained . It’s quite easy to get around and you can jump on a trolly for further distance. If you’re thinking of booking Just do it you won’t be disappointed. to get around

  Fabulous hoiday

  Stayed at Luxury Esmeralda Nov 19th to Dec 3rd. Hotel had been renovated since our stay in 2022. Could not fault anything about our stay. Room was lovely in block 93 with pool view. Pools were great with swim up bar and waitress service. Buffet was really good and a la cartes were amazing. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Favourite a la carte was Yurta. Entertainment was good also. We would like to say special thanks to Hector in the Sports Bar. He was a true gentleman and always made sure we had drinks and were ok as did the very petite waitress whose name i cant remember. Also thank you to Carlos and his team in Cainu buffet who looked after us every morning for breakfast.

  Staff and rooms excellent

  Very nice hotel the staff are really excellent special mention for BAR STAFF Kelvin Jose Nicola RECEPTION Miguel Food is ok we booked several of the a la carte restaurants but a couple of them didn’t meet our expectations especially the Dominican one the staff were very unprofessional arguing between each other and the food wasn’t very good. The rooms were excellent kept clean and topped up with water daily. Unfortunately the pool towels left a lot to be desired so I seriously think they should be replaced (photo attached)

  A week in paradise!

  We had a great experience! Food, drinks and service were great! As a timeshare owner, we were considered part of the Privilege Club. This gave us access to private cart service, quiet areas (bars, snacks) and service from staff to answer all questions and book our reservations for dinner. The resort is geared towards families but it was still appropriate for adults. This is a beach front resort - so we were steps away from the beach. The only thing that was of 'concern' was the noise in the hallways in the early mornings or later at night as they are made of tile and marble - so noise travelled. Earplugs would remedy this though. I highly recommend this resort to those looking to travel - lots of activities, options for food and great customer service!
