    Great experience at Royal Level

    We enjoyed our stay at Barcelo Aruba. The staff was very kind and friendly and Royal Level restaurant was by far the best. A special mention for the attention of Carolina, Jaime, Lissette, Maria, Melvin and specially Karina who had a smile for everyone and was always attentive to any need.

    Disappointing

    This was one of the most disappointing all-inclusive resort stays I’ve ever had. When we arrived, we waited in a hot, crowded lobby with no greeting or welcome. Staff handed us a QR code with no explanation of resort amenities or check-in process. While three employees assisted one family for over 20 minutes, we were completely ignored and never acknowledged. We also observed multiple guests complaining about their experiences, and at one point, a guest was loudly expressing frustration in another language at the front desk. Our initial room was visibly unclean — lint on the chairs, dust on surfaces, stains and smudges on the mirrors and doors, and an unstocked bathroom. When we expressed our concerns, staff downplayed the condition. A manager claimed the room “wasn’t dirty, just stained,” yet still sent someone to clean (barely), and we were told vacuums weren’t available on the property. We requested a refund due to the unacceptable conditions but were told the reservation was non-refundable. Instead, we were offered an upgrade to the Royal Level. The new room included a robe and slippers — items that were advertised as standard for all rooms. Though the room was slightly better, the overall experience still felt disappointing and poorly managed. The Royal Level restaurant and bar were an improvement, but food options remained very limited. The menu was nearly the same every day. Reservations were required for dinner, even when the restaurant was empty. We were also turned away from restaurants several times for wearing matching sets or swim coverups, with no prior notice of a dress code. Even after asking for clarification, we were never told what was acceptable. This property is not truly all-inclusive. Room service was only included for Royal Level guests. There were no snacks or beverages provided in the room. As a Type 1 diabetic, this created a serious issue when my blood sugar dropped late at night and I had to rely on snacks I brought from home. The on-site food options were limited and inconsistent. The stay lacked the comfort, service, and amenities expected from a resort at this price point. I would not return or recommend it to others looking for a relaxing, all-inclusive experience.

    Dissapointed

    No coffee no soap all chairs are taken by 6am..had to walk to dunkins for a cup of coffee???room was awful after a 600 dollar upgrade i was looking at a bush with a dirty hot tub..they put me one floor up and now I get to look at a dirty building food! Food not too good and the expense and frustration of flying her was way not worth it to swim in water with sea weed around your feet..this is day one..hope the rest of the week gets better!

    Awesome

    Jazon was our server. Had the best experience with him. So funny and friendly and attentive. We would recommend Kyoto, 5 stars. No one in our party of 8 left hungry. We truly had a wonderful night and the kids were most importantly entertained. Can't wait to come back.

    Terrible experience. 3 people 1 bed. Food quality and variety not good. Staff at front desk and management was terrible.
