    Some cutbacks, but we still love this place.

    Love this place, been there 16 times. PROS: fabulous beach, immaculate property , nice restaurants, and accommodations very clean. Beautiful pool, and lots of beach chairs. Must give a shout out to the following staff who made our stay even better, Mayra in the buffet, always smiling and hard working. Christina Martinez, in housekeeping, very nice young lady, she made sure we had everything we required and my room was done in a timely manner, and very clean. She was so pleasant and nice. Norma, she was looking after the towels, she was so friendly, people tend to overlook the towel person. CONS: We have noticed some obvious cutbacks, they have cut staff, they do the best they can, but at times seem overwhelmed , the servers around the pool have definitely been cut, and sometimes long lines at the bar for a drink. Restaurant quality has not changed, but the buffet is good but repetitive, The little train that takes you to the palace seems to take much longer to come, this service has diminished considerably. They used to have golf carts for transporting your clubs to your room, now you have to put your clubs on the little train, this is indeed an inconvenience. Golf course has definitely cut the staff, and is not maintained as it used to be, you can see the difference from our last visit and the fees have increased. HOWEVER, We still love this resort , the cutbacks are unfortunate but will not deter us from returning.We do understand since Covid and the economy, cutbacks are expected, and right now are at an acceptable level,however let’s hope that there will not be many more. We have been all over the Caribbean in many resorts, so for this is still our favourite. We will be back.

    Best all inclusive I have every gone to

    we have been to many all inclusives in the Caribbean over the past 30 years. This was by far the best that we have gone to. Everything was first class. The facillities were great and maintained very well. The rooms were nice. Great wifi throughout the complex. We ate at 8 different restaurants during our stay and enjoyed all of them.

    For the 25th time Barcelo Bavaro Beach is the best.

    My wife and I were at the beautiful Barcelo Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana from December 1-11 and it was our 25th time in 10 years. We keep returning to this great resort simply because it is the best one we've experienced in the years we've travelled in all inclusive resorts. It's clean, rooms are 1-2 miinutes away from the beach and it's close to the Punta Cana Airport (25 minutes). The restaurants and bars are fantastic. The people are so nice: Thank you Evelyn at customer service for making sure that our stay is again and again the best one every time. Thank you Mabel at the Premium Salon for welcoming us and checking us in quickly. Thank you also to Jesus at the Premium Salon for your smile and good humour. Thank to Mayra, Libeth, Iris and Miguel at the Caribe buffet for your smile and great service. Thank you to Miguel and all of your team at La Brisa restaurant for everything you do for us and thank to José and Mayra at the Gourmet restaurant for your smiles, excellent service and profesionnalism. Lastly, thank you Sandy for taking a some minutes of your precious time to welcome us and to simply talk with us. We are really looking forward to return in April for the 26th time to our second home. Muchas gracias por todo.

    Barcelo needs to do better. I will chose the competition for my next stays...

    Almost everything was WAY below the Barcelo standard that I was used to as a Unique member. The staff seemed overwhelmed under most situations, the food at most of the restaurants was subpar and the room cleanliness and condition (esp. the bath tub) was unacceptable.
