Very Good Vacation.. with Honest Review
Visited Barcelo Bavaro Palace from Dec 13, 2014, for a week with my family. Overall, a great experience due to its beautiful location, stunning beach, and less crowded atmosphere compared to the Riviera Maya resort. Summary: 1. Beach – Gorgeous, peaceful white sandy beach with no big waves and plenty of chairs. 2. Pools – Good pools, including kids' areas. Disappointed by extra charges for the kids' pirate island, which few guests used. 3. Location – Conveniently close to Punta Cana airport; everything is within a 6-minute walk. 4. Food – Average with limited options. More seafood at the buffet than Coral restaurant. 5. Service – Long wait at check-in, issues with room key, and inconsistent service. Staff were hardworking, but service was uniform across guests. 6. Room – Enjoyed two rooms with a jacuzzi, though equipment was outdated. Maintenance was quick to fix issues. 7. Fishing – Enjoyed fishing at the lakes, caught a small tarpon. Room for improvement in customer service, food, and entertainment to reach a 5-star experience, but the beach makes it worth returning.

Just say NO
This is an unfortunate fail. While the grounds and entertainment center look beautiful, it turned out to be deceitful. Rooms in adults only section were the most disgusting ever (& I’ve traveled extensively for years to Mexico and Dominican Republic so I can definitely compare). Old, damp, run down, rusted, mosquito infested (got bit in my sleep). Room key didn’t work so we had to walk to the lobby twice , and believe me it’s a HIKE, especially at midnight! Staff was slow and barely responsive. Would not come here and would not recommend to anyone else!

Amazing hjoliday at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace!
We just came back from our second trip to this beautiful paradise!(Dec 11-18 2024)We were there last April 2024! Again this time we had an amazing experience!First of all as soon as we arrive we were welcome by Luis and his boss Fiordaliza! Fiordaliza treated us like VIP! She listened and solved our request in a quickly manner1For example she helped us solve our room issue (smell smoke) and we know that was not her fault! She quickly fix the problem! She is the main reason as why our experience was amazing! Well done and thank you Fiordaliza! For the rest at the resort was also very nice: for example the french restaurant (La Comedie) was excellent (the food and the service were amazing) The beach was excellent (white and fine sand,no wave, no rocks.......) We just came back and we are already planning to go early 2025! Thank you everyone ans especially Fiordaliza for an amezing experience! See you all soon! Silvia and Jean from Toronto Canada!

Save your money and go somewhere else…
The lobby looked promising… but the experience got worse as you go. Once you walk into the room you’re smacked in the face with the smell of bleach, most likely to cover up the stench of sewage coming from the toilets and shower drains and the musty smelling room. The room was not cleaned well we were greeted to someone’s hair ball on the floor and shower and what looked like boogers on the headboard. A fight almost broke out amongst the locals. Most of the staff do not know English and pool entertainment was in Spanish. Food was subpar. Tbh, not sure if this is a mall or resort…

5 Star Resort at a 3 star value!!!
Do yourselves a favor and spend the just under $300 a night for the Panoramic Suite Ocean front. This was by far the best hotel room I have ever stayed in. It was beyond my imagination, just as the whole resort was. It was so worth the money at the end of the day and cant wait to do it again.
