November 2024 Mexican Vacation
The hotel was very well situated on a wonderful, never-ending beach. The room was very comfortable and the sea view exceptional. The food at the buffets was average (with the exception of the salads, which were excellent) and the food at the a-la-carte restaurants (with one exception) was very good. The staff at reception, the restaurants, the bars and also the cleaning staff were very attentive and pleasant.

Barceló Ixtapa
Beautiful resort but the service could have been better! The pool side service and the Premium lounge were excellent, but the buffets and the lounge area could have been better! The food was okay…the steak/seafood restaurant was the best!

Quick Getaway
Do not use PGC Tours at the Barcelo This guys. NAME IS JAVIER AND HE IS NOT VERY HONEST. Charged us 750 pesos to basically go accross the street with our luggage to catch the bus. and he also charges 250 pesos more to pick you up from the airport This guy gives the Hotel Barcelo a bad image.

Fantastic people that work here makes the entire experience wonderful.
We recently visited this hotel to celebrate our 60th birthday, and our stay was truly elevated by the outstanding service, especially from Paulina Adams. Originally, we were assigned a family villa on the fourth floor. While spacious, it had a firm sofa bed, and climbing up and down the steps became a bit challenging, especially when needing to return to the room unexpectedly. Paulina stepped in to help us rearrange our accommodations. She not only suggested moving us to a ground-floor suite for easier access but also recommended a larger room for a small upgrade fee, which provided us with extra space with the extra bathroom that was perfect for the three of us. Additionally, she arranged to add a mattress pad to soften the sofa bed, making it much more comfortable. Her warmth and attention to detail truly made a difference, and we’re grateful for her thoughtfulness and kind smile. The front desk staff were equally wonderful—always friendly, impeccably dressed, and ready to assist. The entire team contributed to a memorable and comfortable stay. We look forward to another visit here and are grateful to all the staff for their exceptional service. A special thanks to Paulina for going above and beyond—this experience was unforgettable thanks to you all!

I’ve had better
Nicer front of house hospitality, don’t wait an hour after we try to check in to say payment hasn’t went through. When in fact it was made 2.5 months earlier. If the customer has a confermation number, receipt of purchase then you should handle negotiations with the 3rd party(capital one) not waist an additional 3 hours of the guest time and precious vacation between him and his new fiancé, on her birthday
