Our first visit to this wonderful hotel but wont be our last. What a wonderful hotel. We had an ocean view room, large, comfortable and kept spotless by Favrinah our room service girl. The whole site is well maintained and kept very clean. Food is varied and tasty, and the verandah restaurant is very relaxing. Entertainment is good and if you get the chance to see the fire dancers on BBQ night you cannot fail but to be amazed. The staff are just amazing , so friendly and helpfull, you could pay a small fortune at any big city hotel and not get more attentive and friendly service. All staff both inside and outside are brilliant but of special mention for us are Bella, Nervie, Shantel, Brendan, Princess and Mardina. Last and certainly not least "my brother" Jehfra , what an amazing guy who never appears to stop and is a mine of information, his early morning Pilates classes were excellent.

Wonderful stay, beautiful hotel
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was impeccable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional and catered to my every need. I would like to give special acknowledgement to Shanel and Mardina at the Veranda Restaurant and the Cabana. In addition, I found the food to be fresh and absolutely delicious. My room was beautiful and clean and featured a breathtaking view of the ocean and lower pool. Because of its location in an area elevated above the city, the hotel offers panoramic views of Castries, which are best seen from the rooftop bar. Speaking of bars, the drinks were definitely excellent as well. There are a lot of stairs to climb, so be aware of this when booking a stay here. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again. It is as good as or even better than most of the all-inclusive hotels in which I have stayed in the past.

Wonderful hotel
We booked this trip quite late and there were not many properties left, but Bel Jou stood out head and shoulders above the competition when combining a sensible price with a clean hotel with good facilities and a lovely room. Our view from the hill it is on over the sea was wonderful and one day we took advantage of the free shuttle to Vigie beach where we had a swim. Free parking too as we brought a car. Internet worked well enough and our room was spotless with two large beds and a strong shower, a balcony and most of all it was quiet - entertainment stopping in the main building at 11pm. The entertainment I hadnt even thought about, but was generally excellent, a band, a singer, a Karoke night, etc. Surprising and fun. The food was mostly wonderful - lots of choice at breakfast and dinner and we even ate twice in the free "fine dining" restaurant which had more specialised and served choices. There was also a lunch snack bar which we ate paninis and pizzas at which soon became part of our daily ritual. Most of all though, all the staff were wonderful, from the waitresses, the bar staff, the reception staff, to the drivers. Everyone made our trip friendly and relaxed. We got a very good price too considering it was high season.

Fabulous Bel Jou
Our second visit to this lovely hotel where you are welcomed by the wonderful staff & management. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was clean & spacious, being welcomed each morning by the lovely Quincy always brightened our day. The food was great and plentiful with different eating areas throughout the day, a complimentary mini bus ride into Castries or to the beach is a nice touch for a change of scenery. The entertainment was excellent and varied and Jaffrey the entertainment manager was wonderful. The friendliness of the staff at this hotel is exemplary, a shout out to the lovely Kasha and also Brandon, and Devon who made the best G & Ts, but in fairness they were all amazing but too many to mention. We love St Lucia and will definitely return again . As an addition I would like to thank everyone for looking after me after my little accident ❤️

Hidden gem!
Just back from a wonderful week staying at the Bel Jou! Had a lovely week just chilling. This hotel offers amazing value - it is one of the cheapest all inclusive hotels on the island. Yes a few weeks niggles (all addressed efficiently) - Dean the manager is happy for any feedback to improve your stay and the hotel. We recommend attending the manager’s cocktail hour on the Monday night to meet more of the team and win some prizes! Our room was spacious and bed comfy - had everything we needed from a fridge to iron and kettle and safe etc. fabulous view! The food was very nice too - not a massive selection but could always find something we liked - another comment said not always topped up and I had to agree with this comment - things run out and not replaced in a timely manner but that is something restaurant manager and the staff need to keep on top of. We loved having our lunch at Lulu’s cabana again you may wait a while as we could only see one chef but was all very good when it came out - you could eat lunch at the veranda restaurant. The hummingbird a la carte was great as you could eat there as often as you wanted - just needed to book. First meal was good but wasn’t keen on the lamb shanks - too dry. On the whole though we loved the food and the alcohol - mostly wine we drink was very pleasant. I loved the wee coffee shop and miss my daily oat cookie with coffee (great book selection in there too - so no need to bring a book with you or if you forget a big collection to help yourself to). Big shout out to Jahfree - the one man band entertainment guy! His morning yoga, walks and the most popular Aquafit 11am every morning was good fun. The Thursday night BBQ night was excellent - big well done to all the staff laying this on - was fantastic! Recommend his walks too for lots of information on the island. We used the shuttle to the beach a few times too. We used the gym quite a bit - was open very early which suited us and a good range of equipment. There’s also lots of games to borrow or use - giant chess etc so you won’t be bored. We booked a boat trip to Soufriere to see the Pitons - it was a good day out and meant not having to drive those roads! We booked our taxi through the hotel USD $90 or ECD 242 each way. If you can we recommend asking for Alex - such a lovely guy and he’s a policeman too so felt very safe! On the whole we had a fabulous time - didn’t bother us not being on the beach or being able to walk outside of the hotel. We are missing the hotel as it felt like a home from home. Clientele are mainly British, Canadian and American. Everyone was so friendly. We travelling lots and I must admit not many places I would go back to but I feel I could go back here if the price was right again!
