Romantic Birthday Celebration
We enjoyed every aspect of our stay- the food, the staff and the amenities. The cottages are cozy and rustic. The views are absolutely beautiful. Oh and the pastries were delicious. My favorite was the fruit turn overs. Stewed Beef was also delicious! Every staff member we came in contact with was always kind, happy, and helpful.

Come to COCOS!
COCOS was our first choice when it came to choosing where we wanted to celebrate our honeymoon. It looked private, intimate, and overwhelmingly beautiful. So, instead of opting for a cheaper option, we saved up and made it work. Here’s our review! Food: I can’t tell you how wonderful our experience was. The food was absolutely insane, we wanted to eat multiple plates of each entree. The BBQ ribs and mac were top tier, along with the seafood bisque, the herb crusted steak, and don’t even get us started on the specials. Having a different dinner menu every night in the most beautiful restaurant imaginable (right over the water!) was surreal. Pelicans were our best friends and entertainment during breakfast in the morning with their dives into the ocean below. The sunset cafe had some of the best jerk chicken wings we’ve ever tasted, and we had them almost every day. We also encountered the “Lobster Man” who catches and prepares lobster for you on the beach. We ended up buying it, and had the most well-seasoned lobster. SO worth it. Drinks: The old-fashioned rum punch was to die for (we’re big rum fans). Everything we had was delicious and went down so easy. They had great quality liquor, and we throughly enjoyed having the English Harbor!! They had almost every mixer you can think of, and the bartenders knew how to make just about anything! Room: Although we had the most standard room you could get, it was still off the charts. The outdoor shower was where we spent a lot of our time after a day at the beach, enjoying the view of the ocean, listening to music, and being able to spend such private time together. Having our own villa felt so private, and really made it feel like our own place to stay. We didn’t expect the AC in the rooms to be all that, but we were pleasantly surprised as it was AMAZING to walk into our cool room after a long hot day. There are no TVs in the rooms, which is something we really liked honestly. The fridges weren’t always fully stocked with extras, but they made sure to get us fresh glass bottled water every day! Atmosphere and Environment: The white sandy beaches were never too hot and had the most beautiful shells you’ve ever seen just ~there~, and you almost never had to wait to get a seat at the beach like you would at other resorts. We didn’t use the pool once, you don’t have to. The ocean is like bath water, with very little waves (just the way my wife loves it). The view from any direction was breath taking. Big perk? You can watch the sun set over the ocean here. We did it every evening! Only con, bugs. Bugs bugs bugs. The room already has a can of Raid and bug spray in it, but the sand flies are what get you the most if you like spending most of your time on the beach. We weren’t prepared for this, and apparently the sandflies don’t care about bug spray. The only thing that really helps is putting baby oil on your skin, as it puts a thicker layer between them and your skin. That does, however, make you choose between being putting on sunblock, and being BBQd lol. My wife was eaten alive and had around 80 bites! So definitely prepare for that in advance! This issue was of course out of the resorts control, it’s just nature! It also rained a few times, but it was the type of island rain that comes and goes and only lasts around five minutes each time, no worries for storms for us! Entertainment: I think the entertainment really depends on the night that you’re there. It was much more lively Thursday to Saturday night than any other nights of the week. If dancing a lot and partying hard is something that you’re interested in, this is not the resort for you. But this atmosphere is what we were looking for; quiet, calm, intimate, go with the flow, and fun. There was an amazing singer there Thursday night who made everyone want to get up and dance! Saturday night, there were two young girls performing their dance routines for everyone. My wife even got up to teach them a dance too! Staff & Overall: The resort staff are what made this vacation fun. They were ALL so kind, lovely, engaged, attentive, and lovely people to spend time with. The front desk staff were so kind and knowledgeable and helped us with anything we needed. We were offered a complementary 30 minute couples massage, which was also to die for. Everyone there made us feel like we were living a life of luxury, and we can’t thank them enough for making our honeymoon so incredibly special. Also!! make sure to book excursions through the locals! Overall, we have recommended Antigua and Barbuda to literally everyone we know, especially this resort. We have already had two people book their trip based on our experience and pictures! Come to COCOS, it’s so worth it.

Cocos fell Short of Our Expectations
We recently stayed at Coco’s Hotel to celebrate our 30th anniversary. My husband wanted a Romantic Resort on a beautiful beach, with excellent food. The resort delivered on several items on his Wish list but fell short on a few as well. The location of this resort was wonderful. There were lots of hills and beautiful landscaping. It gave relaxing vibes. As for the three stars I am giving to Cocos, I want to be clear that we have been very fortunate to travel and stay in some of the finest properties in the Caribbean. We love luxury accommodations, fantastic service, friendly people and excellent food. The food and service are the reason for my ratings. My husband and I were in Cottage #50. The room was beautiful, the view was phenomenal. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and swimming in our pool every evening before showering for dinner. I was not a fan of the outdoor shower. It was not romantic to me; I found it to be primitive in the fact that the shower did not have side sprayers or anything other than just two rain shower heads. There was nothing luxury about the shower. I also don't understand why the entire room wasn't air conditioned. The lobby part of the room was very dark even when the light was on. We needed our flashlight just to use the key for the door and the safe. The bathroom, I believe, should also have been air conditioned. While getting ready for dinner, using the hair dryer, applying makeup it was warm. Sometimes, balmy. It was disappointing to me that the bathroom area was not air conditioned and that is a luxury that we are accustomed to. The Maid service was perfect and timely every day, with two annoying things. Every day we would receive two bath towels, two hand towels and one washcloth. Why? There are two of us in the room, why wouldn't we get 2 of everything every day? Also, the Makeup towels. I was given 4 towels for my 7 days stay. They were never refilled, and after I used my 4th towel, the housekeeper just put my toothpaste and hand soap in the box, instead of refilling the makeup towels. I was disappointed with the lack of friendliness of the staff. With the exception of a handful of people (Krishna, Karima, & Kayla at the restaurants, Darrell at the Watersports, and Maria at the front desk all fantastic!) I felt the staff was just going through the motions. We'd see the same people every day and we tipped at every meal, yet each day it was like we were complete strangers. The meals were a HUGE Disappointment. All the reviews said the food was excellent for an All Inclusive. We are not All-inclusive people, but my husband believed all of the reviews that the food was high quality, which just added to the disappointment. Breakfast was probably the best meal of the day (although 4 out of 7 days they ran out of the juice of the day by 9am). Lunch we had the same thing almost every day at the beach grill, and we ate one day in the restaurant, and one day we had Lobsters from Lyndon on the beach. The variety of menu items was challenging which is why we ended up with the Tuna Salad every day for lunch! Dinner was just downright terrible. The changing menu every day is a nice concept, but the quality and variety of items on the menu were just not good. I ordered off of the Vegetarian Menu 4 of the nights because I didn't like anything on the regular menu and ended up having very basic pasta with vegetables each night. There was nothing Caribbean, no fresh delicious seafood. There was a fish most nights, but the two nights I ordered it, it didn't have flavor. The drinks were not good either. We aren't the biggest drinkers, but we love a tasty cocktail each evening with our meal. We couldn't get a proper Cosmo or Vodka Martini, so we ended up opting for Ginger Ale and a Diet Coke with Dinner, in the hopes we could enjoy a chocolate Martini for dessert. The bartenders weren't the bartenders you find in NYC and Philly where they have fun making drinks and want their customers to enjoy a delicious cocktail and some conversation. We are foodies, and the Food and Drinks here DID NOT MEET Our expectations. This is not Excellent food, especially when you've enjoyed gourmet food in some of the best Caribbean islands. We enjoyed lounging at Jolly Beach and Valley Church Beach. We didn't have chairs at Valley Church on our last full day, which absolutely blew our minds. The resort has 40 rooms, how do you not have enough Lounge chairs for your guests at the beach? We came down after breakfast to find that every beach chair was occupied, we weren't in a Las Vegas Highrise...we were at Cocos Hotel in Antigua. There was absolutely no reason for this! We had very high expectations coming into our anniversary trip. The resort was romantic and relaxing. Overall, we loved the beach, we loved the balcony of our cottage, we loved the view, we loved our plunge pool. We enjoyed our anniversary togetherness, and the romance and relaxation at Cocos. We were frustrated and aggravated often by the little things that Cocos doesn't do right. I really wish the staff was friendlier and more welcoming. A smile and a good morning/good evening go a long way!

Magical COCOs
My husband and I booked a Sunset View room (no pool) directly through Cocos and stayed the first week of December to celebrate my 35th Birthday. From the moment we stepped foot on resort, we knew this place was special. All of the staff are so warm and accommodating, seriously the best. The food and drinks were AMAZING. The grounds and rooms are lovely, well kept, private and romantic. The views from our room and all over resort were breathtaking. It was easy for my husband to coordinate with room service and the front desk for a romantic birthday setup (room & dinner table). The only real “con” is completely out of COCOs control: Valley Church beach can go from calm and tranquil to overrun on certain cruise ship days when the catamarans and the busses drop off. Some of the tourists are oblivious and try to use resort amenities (Chairs, restrooms, beach bar etc). The staff handles it well and it’s truly just a minor annoyance, but it’s good to keep an eye on the cruise schedules to plan for a more relaxing day at the pool/jolly beach. Halfway through our trip my husband had already promised me a return visit to my new favorite resort. We can’t wait! Thank you for the unforgettable birthday getaway in paradise COCOs. Until next time!

Beautiful relaxing paradise
Been meaning to write this review for a while. Stayed in June of 2024 with my wife, to celebrate 10yr anniversary. Loved everything about it. The property was nice and clean. The beaches on both sides are FANTASTIC! The staff was so friendly! The rooms were great! We stayed in a beachfront cottage. Loved the private deck, and plunge pool. Absolutely loved the outdoor shower. The restaurant made delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Drinks were good too! We had such an amazing time.
