    Amazing stay

Beautiful resort staff was amazing and accommodating! the pools are spacious. The crowd here was much older so it was extremely safe for my daughter. Everything is walking distance as well! Thank you bryan, anderson and derienne for going above and beyond!

Bonvoy Beware - Trying to be nice with 2 stars

This was one of the worst Marriott Bonvoy experiences I’ve had. And I’m Lifetime Gold. The front desk staff gave no direction or help as to the layout of the resort or where our room was. For a location dependent on hospitality, the service was horrendous. The first night, we waited an HOUR for our food/drinks. We had to flag down a different server just to put in our order after waiting 30 minutes. Then the original server came over and asked if we would like our drinks with or before our food. WHAT?!?! And then our order was WRONG. The next morning at breakfast, we were overlooked for a substantial amount of time. The omelet I ordered was clearly forgotten about and took 45 minutes and again the order was WRONG and inedible. While the room seemed newish and cleanish, it smelled either terribly of chemical air freshener or sewer. Our “limited view” room was of containers, a staff parking lot, and a potential crime scene. After breakfast the first morning, my friend went down to speak to the staff and was told the manager was in a “staff meeting” and would follow up with this. We never heard a single word. Housekeeping didn’t come 2 of the days during our stay and didn’t refresh several things even when they did. We were so appalled, we began researching other properties to move to and ultimately decided to give it one more chance. Janice & Daniel at the pool were the saving graces and only reason we stayed. They were incredible and deserve a raise! The property is not beachfront, but does have beach access via a golf cart ride. The chair I was given at the beach was ripped, stained and gross. There is a body of water out front of the property that we nicknamed the “river of stench” which you have to walk across a bridge to leave the property. (Hold your nose!) The property is located within walking distance of the buttery farm and several good restaurants. I would recommend venturing out for food if you want something better than mediocre. There is happy hour 2x Per day, making drinking pool side very affordable.

Very good choice for the money

The staff were very friendly both at the front desk and in the dining room. We did not like our first room located in the back, facing a dark corner and although very quiet it was quite remote from the front desk & pool area. A very accomodating lady manager found another room which was much brighter and closer to the Allegra Bar. Anderson was a very courteous young man at the front desk who helped us with numerous requests. We had some problems with the AC blowing hot and cold and they could improve the quality of the comforter blanket which was polyester fiber instead of cotton. However the rooms were bright and very clean. Breakfast was very good but they could add grain cereal as an alternative to frosted flakes. Staff was very friendly and quick to answer requests. I will say the Allegra Bar is welcoming but has a limited menu and definitely warrants trying local restaurants. The atmosphere in general is welcoming and not super elitist or snobbish. We tried several options on the strip but most of it was overpriced chain-food outlets. On our last day we walked around the The Mill (a large red windmill) that is just in front of Aruba Resort and discoverd Rich's Arubian Dish, the only place we found that offered authentic Caribbean food from around the Caribbean. It is locally owned by a couple, husband is the chef. Highly recommended.

Nice balanced stay on a beautiful island

Nice property and amenities. Near the popular palm beach area (walkable) but just off the beaten path for a bit more quiet. We were here with couples but looked good for families as well and accommodated both fairly well. We'd stay here for future Aruba trips!

    Hidden Gem, Perfectly Located

We had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard Aruba. This was our 3rd stay in Aruba and the previous 2 times we stayed all-inclusive, and we were a little worried about not doing it this time and not staying directly on the beach. However, we really loved it. The hotel is extremely clean and cozy, and the rooms are large with a comfortable bed and huge, awesome shower and perfectly located within walking distance of restaurants, bars and local shops. There is a 2-minute complimentary shuttle or just a 5-minute walk to the Courtyard beach where you could get chairs, palapas and towels from the very friendly attendant. The pool area is beautiful with plenty of space for everyone. Even the local iguanas that would sit out on the rocks by the swim-up bar. Loved the swim-up bar during the day and Allegro bar in the evenings. Shout out to the amazing Miguel and Oscar our favorite bartenders. In fact, two thumbs up to all the amazing staff including the reception desk, landscapers and cleaning staff. We received a complimentary breakfast for 2 and 2 free appetizers everyday of our stay which was a nice touch. Breakfast was very good and had all the options you could want on the buffet. We will absolutely be staying here on our next trip to Aruba!!
