Don’t Stay here!
AVOID this dump of a resort and go elsewhere! We had to switch rooms 3 times due to the idiots at the front desk not understanding what a “Suite Crown Plus Ocean View” was. 1st room was a view of a tennis court, after going back and forth with the moron at the front desk for 30 minutes. The supervisor Stephanie, finally decided to step in to switch the room! Room #2 had a great ocean view but there was MOLD in the bathroom! Had to check out at 12pm and get a new room at 3pm. Room #3 had a ok view but there was NO HOT WATER, fridge didn’t get cold, NO telephone in the room to call anyone and the jacuzzi was leaking on the floor! The food was complete TRASH and well as all the weak drinks from the bar! I get home to file a complaint with Apple Vacation an the rep from the resort REFUSED to offer any refunds or credit! Each email they sent was full of lies! BELIEVE the reviews on the poor quality of this dump! There were guests complaining nonstop a nothing was being done! Also don’t book with Apple Vacation! They don’t offer

Our toast: "To tranquility"
Good resort: not far from the airport and adequately priced. This is a calm place for peaceful and tranquil holidays. There is no live entertainment on the resort itself, but a full performance program available to the resort guests right across the street almost every night. The personnel are attentive and accommodating. Our special thanks for extra attention to Louis from the reception (I apologize if I spelled his name wrong). Though the building and the rooms are old, they are very well maintained, clean and tidy. It is obvious that management is "on top of it".

Positive and Negative
2025 Vacation Positive and Negative from our two week January vacation -Positive: The view from our room on the eighth floor was amazing. The pool and ocean views and the cruise ships from our entrance hallway were all amazing. This hotel is in a great location. Close to the marina, shopping areas, other restaurants if you want dine off the resort and a short cab ride to other attractions. The staff at the pool, buffet, bars, front desk and a la cartes were great. Staying at the adult only side (Golden) gave the opportunity to use three a la cartes on the family side and three on the Golden side. We only utilized the buffet for dinner on the day we arrived. All remaining dinners were a la cartes. The booking system for them was great and beat waiting in line like other resorts. Ask the front desk when you check in for the details on how to book. The beach is great and you can walk for miles on it. Not the best sand - a little course. I would recommend water shoes. The pool activities during the day were great. Activity staff Jatziri, Tony, Brian, Manny made the day by and in the pool more fun. Negative: Our room was clean but outdated and in need of improvements. Other guests we met repeated the same. The entrance door was tricky to unlock. Replacement of the key card reader is overdue. The shower head should be in a museum (sprayed more to the sides than down). The swing out mirror with magnifier glass would have been great if the light inside it was working. Lamps and ceiling fan should be updated. We did not have hot water for the entire day on at least two separate occasions. Washing off sunscreen in a cold shower is not pleasant. I was up before dawn most days and the hallway light outside our room was not working. It was difficult to see the key card slot in the dark. I also noted a couple other lights not working. Also the overhead hall lights needed to be cleaned as most were full of dead bugs. I pointed out a number of areas that need improvements at the pool and pool deck. I am a certified pool operator. My licence is for North America which includes Mexico. What I saw was a main drain cover, close to the hot tub, that was broken and never got replaced. Skimmer grates were broken and caution cones put on top of them. Skimmer grates side securing straps broken though out the pool and a couple of skimmer areas not very clean. There were a couple of cool and cloudy days. At times there were no pool activities and maybe 4 people at the most in the main pool. The reason the pool water was too cool. What was being used is the hot tub. Each pool or hot tub in North America has an occupant capacity. The hot tub on those cool days was packed. If the main pool was warmer I am sure more people would have been using it and not the hot tub. Also the floor leading to the men’s and women’s washrooms off pool deck and the washroom floors are so dirty it would take a major acid wash to get them clean. Wear sandals. Overall we found it was acceptable value for the money.

Sucked!
Place was dirty, smelly, outdated, service sucked. It's a hotel with food that is hard to identify. Our room door barely locked and the tv was smashed when we arrived. None of the channels on the TV were in English. Save your money and do your research!

The best location
Amazing value with the best location right next the sea port and airport. Amazing views in every direction including a sunset into the ocean
