Divi
The property was nice. The assistance from the front desk could have been better. The food needs to be improved at the all inclusive restaurants. For the price you pay for all inclusive the accommodations could be nicer and the food could be better. If you have dietary restrictions the all inclusive is not for you.

Management customer service is horrible
First off, let me say that I’m a Divi timeshare owner. I have stayed multiple times at Divi Little Bay in St Maarten, and have previously stayed at Divi Aruba Phoenix. And we have scheduled a vacation next month in Divi Bonaire. At this resort, their management not only did not address concerns with the check in/room/location, they did not even have the courtesy to address the concerns face-to-face but, instead, hid behind their “curtain” (aka the wall behind the front desk). Their lack of customer service training will eventually ruin this resort. Overall, the staff were friendly and excellent, but the way we were treated overshadowed so many things that we were left with a very bad taste. I will not stay there again.

older rooms
Rooms could definitely use some renovations. Air conditioner was horrifically loud. Patio door was sticky and had to ask the front desk 3 times before it was fixed. Once I got the manager involved, though, she was professional and apologetic and it was fixed the same day. Many of the housekeeping staff do not speak English so that made it difficult to ask for towels, service, etc. Silly wristbands that you have to leave on from beginning to end. Laundry machines cost $2/wash, $2/dry, plus $2.75 for detergent, yikes. But it was right across the street from the beautiful beach. Just go early if you want to get a palapa. Infinity pool was very nice too. If you rent a car (which we did since taxis get very expensive) be aware that parking close to your room may be limited. Oh one other thing...the concierge. There was something very fishy going on there. They were very possessive of guests ("ask for me, you are assigned to me") and they acted a lot like commissioned salespeople. They will try to get you to sign up for the timeshare sales pitch. First time in Aruba but definitely won't be our last. But I think next time we would choose somewhere else to stay. Divi Village Golf was good but nothing special and there just wasn't a tremendous amount of value there.

Very relaxing, great location and staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and roomy
The rooms were clean and roomy, staff and pools were great. The down side was no evening activities, other than casino and very expensive! The food at the infinity grill was great, but we never found a great breakfast venue, except for Santos and DD near the casino. We loved Driftwood Restaurant downtown for dinner.

OK resort, room for improvement
We went through a time share and enjoyed ourselves, but this resort could be so much better. 1. The staff was not very helpful. I understand things are on “island time” but no one seemed to care about any issues. We ordered a crib for the room in advance of the trip (and called to confirm). We had to ask multiple times at check in about it and it didn’t come until I went to the front desk at 9 PM to ask for it since it was way past bedtime and they were so rude to me. There are iguanas next to the pool which is nice, but iguana poop not cleaned up in a timely way. I even pointed one out that wasn’t near the iguanas and she just told me someone would clean it. I ended up having to put a cup over it because my toddler touched it. No one cleaned it up for hours. 2. The pools are very large and relaxing. The water slide was the star of the trip for my toddler. However, the entire ground around the whole pool area is burning hot. So hot that you can’t walk at all without shoes. Everyone put sandals next to the pool stops or was running unless they had shoes on. My son burned his finger on it from holding to the edge of the pool while swimming and got a blister! Bring swim shoes. 3. The rooms are large but not anything special. Plenty of room if you have a family but it didn’t feel clean. I liked that there was a full kitchen and table for eating. Weird ceiling vents in rooms looks like it’s never been cleaned. As an FYI, there is only full housekeeping once a week. They otherwise change towels and garbage. I wish they would give guests access to vacuums or other cleaning supplies. It doesn’t make sense to have a kitchen and food in the room but no way to clean it. 4. The beach was nice. It was across the street from the resort. So from the farthest rooms about an 8-10 min walk. They also have golf carts if you call. There should be towel stands at the beach. It was very annoying to only have one towel stand for the entire resort.
