Best shower ever
Very friendly resort with good quality food. The rooms are clean and spacious and the shower was the best I have ever had!!! Good heat, good pressure, good volume. Spent a lot of time at the adult pool - a social area where you get excellent drink service from the waiters. Did not have an issue getting a lounger chair even though we showed up later in the day. The beach was great as well.

Mar 26, 2025A very enjoyable week!
Spent March break 2025 at Dreams Huatulco. 2nd visit to a Dreams resort and its an excellent company. Some great things about the resort include a really laid back, relaxed vibe and not a lot of pressure to buy a time share etc that many of these places have. The staff here (from front desk, servers to maintenance )is one of the best I have ever experienced at a resort anywhere, polite, friendly and attentive! The beach is excellent and you can snorkel right near the rocks to see many tropical fish,rays etc. We even saw a Humpback whale playing around right off the beach! The resort has a small village near it with stores and amenities (pharmacies etc). We felt very safe here. Not too far away is the small town Crucecitas which has a market, a mall and many stores (also quite nice for a visit). We did one excursion to see Dolphins, whales and snorkel which although nice was a bit tiring due to the length. I would advise anyone taking this type of tour to do a private boat tour and pay a little extra (that way you can control the itinerary and timeline). The drinks at the resort were also excellent and we enjoyed trying many varieties out! if you can get up early enough, you can grab a palapa on the beach or some shade by the pool. We spent most of our time at the beach and water here is excellent (no seaweed at this time of year). The only 2 negatives about our stay were the AC and food. For the AC, the unit in our room was functional but the temperature never got down to the level that the thermostat said, it was also a bit noisy and needed a fan tuneup. Not the best for sleeping comfortably. The only other negative about this resort was I found the food to be a bit subpar compared to the other Dreams we visited in the DR. Selection at the buffet and overall quality of some of the offerings needs to be improved . We ate at 2 of the individual restaurants Himitsu (which was good) and the Patio (Mexican) which was disappointing. We ate most lunches at the Seaside grill which was good somedays but poor others (due to quality or things being out of stock). I think improving the food quality and variety and maybe expanding the bar that serves the beach into a small pizza and hamburger/hot dog venue would go a long way to really upping this resorts game. Otherwise everything about our stay was excellent. Thanks Dreams Huatulco for a really enjoyable week!!

A Dream vacation at Dreams
First time to Huatulco and first time to Dreams hotel and didn’t disappoint us .old hotel very well maintained and clean with hard working ,polite and happy staff set up on a fantastic location in a quiet bay with a beautiful beach and clear water full of fish .the kids club is exceptional-very nice young staff(thank you Melissa ,Daniela ,Gary and Benny ) our grandkids spend time there and enjoy it very much .they provide different activity pool ,crafts ,party ,camp fire etc open from 9am to 9 pm giving us the opportunity to have dinner at Portofino restaurant adult only which was not my preferred one but I really like the Japanese restaurant the setting and menu was very nice other then that we booked table outside when they have fire show and Mexican night and enjoy it very much for that we had to purchase a bottle of wine which was totally worth it .the service on the beach was great too providing different kind of snacks at lunch time as well (prefferate beach service ),honestly really wonderful place to visit for a right price .there are trips too provided by the WestJet which I don’t recommend because in case of cancellation take 2 hrs of negotiation to return only 50% of the money back ,is better to take a private bout tour from the beach with Lopez I read lots of good reviews about him anyway the eco tour was our highlight ,the kids really enjoy it .A place were we look forward to return ,thank you Dreams and the staff you are the best !!!!!

Great but needs better work when it comes to allergies
The food is fantastic especially because I’m gluten free. But I do wish there were more options overall. Especially in the cafe and buffet. And when you say that you have an allergy they should show you around the kitchen your first day to show what you can eat not your second last day. As that’s what happened to me and when they were pointing out the food I couldn’t eat, their were a few foods that I have been eating the past few days that you wouldn’t think would have gluten in it. So with that adding signs at the buffet saying if something is gluten free would be helpful. I also found the entertainment wasn’t as good this year as last year. I lot of the new activities aren’t as fun. But besides that the staff is friendly, the drinks are great and so is the room.
