We had a great trip even though we were here during a major tropical storm causing flooding and the closing of the airport. Had great support from Felix the director and all the staff at the reception area. The resort is beautiful with an amazing view of the bay from the higher floors of the main building. The food is very good and the staff are all very friendly and professional at the « a la carte » and buffet restaurants . I want to make a special mention to the manager of the Mexican restaurant (Rafael) who gave us an exceptional and memorable experience both times we chose his restaurant….He is a great asset to the Dreams banner and i would strongly advise upper management to demonstrate their appreciation to his contribution before the completion steals him away. All and all this is a top notch resort with very little to complain about.

We had a mostly wonderful time, and the service, food, and facilities were good. Be aware that the nicer restaurants have a dress code (pants for men). We were not aware of this and as a result t could not enjoy them. I notified the staff, but nothing could be done, apparently. Disappointing and too hot for pants anyway!

Family wedding
Great place to have a wedding. Even when the rain came, they had an efficient plan to move the wedding under cover. The grounds are beautiful and our room was very nice. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The scenery was nice, a lot of the staff were awesome, but....... Was it worth the costs? Were all the amenities available and worth it? Not a chance! If you have food allergies, go elsewhere. It's a long drive from Liberia airport to this place or anywhere else for that matter. If you're wanting isolation then this is the place, if you want to see Costa Rica and sightsee.... go elsewhere. A lot of steps and walking, if you or family have mobility issues - NO. If you go to bed early - NO. Their nightclub is loud, as long as it's open, you can hear it from your rooms. Restaurants; half were closed - everyday! They wanted you to line up for every time, even with more than half of the resort vacancy. Mind you it was a really unusually wet season with all the rain & storms, don't stay on the ground level.....flooding. The walk out pools don't seem to be worth the money and the 'Preferred Club' seems to be a waste of money. I didn't find the beds that comfortable and unless you're on the top floor, you hear everybody running down the hall above you.

Loved Dreams Las Mareas
Best all inclusive experience we’ve ever had. Good food and a beautiful property and spacious, clean rooms. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Plenty of wildlife to be seen on the property without being a nuisance. Beautiful, clean pools with plenty of food options.
