Amazing place!!! However pools too cold for us.
This place was AMAZING! So many extra little things that made it a great experience for the five of us ages 7 to 74. Lots of lovely, fun Christmas/ Holiday decorations. Entertainment staff were great engaging everyone at the pool. Loved the adult pool, even with construction going on with the new swim out rooms, the adult pool still had a great vibe. (Except no one was really in the pool, only in the loungers, I will address this below.) Nightly live music was always great. The setup of the lobby bar was perfect with all the couches. Especially at night with the gas firepit. Coco was a nice addition, any time needed a quick snack or coffee was always open. Great rotating selection. Going to have to give this resort 4.5/5 due to one negative, which for us was a big one. The pools were waaaaayyyyy tooooo cold. We have been to 20 all-inclusive resorts between Mexico and Jamaica and this was the worst for pool temperature. It is not help the pool was very deep, up to my neck. This ultimately almost ruin the trip/ hotel for us. We usually spend a lot of time in the pool playing with our daughter and going to the pool bar when she is in kids club. However we barely went in, and when we did just put in our legs. Only time went to pool bar we went from the stairs and skirted the edge so we didn't' have to go too far in. Our daughter extended amount of time she went into the kids club due not wanting to get into the pool Usually she would spend a bunch time with us in the pool but due to it being cold she requested clubs club a lot more. Luckily at noon they had their splash park in the club that was much warmer. We were looking at booking another trip in April but due to pool temperature we will not booking here. Which is a bummer because we enjoyed everything else about our trip/ resort, but the pool temperature just really ruin a big chunk of it for us. If I see in reviews and FB groups that the pool temperature improved or we get a really good deal, we will be back. But until then unfortunately we will not. Which is a bummer because if you took out that part of it was one of our favorite resorts. The staff were great and truly make this resort. Julia R in lobby check-in was great, understanding and made everything smooth. Adrian at French restaurant was great and help make our daughters birthday extra special. Miriam at Rendezvous is a mastermind mixologist. Amazing drinks with some great infused alcohols. Also in Rendezvous Adan, Jorge, Yesenia and Natilia were great. Speedy service and very attentive. Adult pool Octavio was detail oriented and very on it. Francisco in adult pool was fun, and very quick. I forget there names but the bellmen were excellent and very helpful! The true MVPs for the whole trip were the staff at explorer's club. Claudia, Mimi, Andrea, Michel, Tomosa and Nayeli. Our 7 year old had a blast and really enjoyed her time there, constantly wanting to go back in. They made it very fun for the kids. Campout was great! Throughout our trip our daughter would run into other kids she met in kids club. Very cute.
