Wedding and group vacay of my dreams
The most magical experience. We were preffered club for our wedding. Group of 50. Everyone was so amazing staff wise, rooms were clean, beach is beautiful but rough waters not very swim able but that was fine with us we prefer the pools, the pools were perfect. 10/10 recommend and if you can splurge on preferred club, do it. Food was amazing also! Kids club rocked and it is so family friendly but with adults only perks if you need to get away. All in all beautiful resort.

Lovely time for a destination wedding
I traveled here solo to attend and friend’s wedding and overall had a wonderful stay. Great service and environment. The resort was kid friendly but never felt overrun with children. Plenty of space for many groups to hang out and enjoy their time. Entertainment was fun and varied. Food was great. I would definitely return and stay here again.

Service and friendliness beyond five stars!
Everyone we dealt with and even those employees just passing by were welcoming, friendly and helpful. This could not be improved. We were in the Privileged Section and felt it was well worth the cost. Our beach concierge Willy Wonka made each day wonderful with his greeting and constant attention and interesting conversation. His assistant at the beach, Mariella, was so attentive as well and I am sure makes the best margaritas on the island. Our main concierge Adrian was always available making a point of seeing us several times each day to make sure all was well and handling any issues as quickly as possible. If I sent a text he answered within five minutes - always! All the servers in the restaurants were excellent but Luis at Himitsu and Teleman at Oceana stood out for their friendliness and service. Lastly Johnny Bravo in entertainment always dropped by several times a day to chat and encourage participation in the entertainment program. He was a delight and also a very interesting person. The entertainment each night was well done and varied. All in all the personnel make this resort a five star. Restaurants were all very good. The World Cafe buffet had lots of variety and changed every day. It would be nice if Oceana could add a few more non-seafood items to the menu for groups that have various tastes in a group such as ours. Coco Cafe is a delight for coffee and ice cream lovers and requires daily visits! Housekeeping was efficient and the rooms were always very clean and towels plentiful. Our only problem was with nightly turn down which happened on only four nights out of the seven despite our asking and reminding. Not a big deal but fresh towels for the next morning would be appreciated when getting back from the beach and showering in the afternoon. Water park and lazy river were a nice attraction and lifeguards very attentive with the little ones. There were always chairs available at the beach where we spent most of our time. While the beach is sand and beautiful the water was too rough to really go in, even to knee depth. We were told that this is very common at this location and that nice calm water is rare. Of course, not the resort's fault. There was no seaweed at all on the beach. There is also a lot of security around the resort and vendors are not pushy. The Privilege adult pool has a large hot tub which was very welcomed. Overall the hotel is very high end, well kept and constant maintenance and grooming of the grounds. We found our room a little small compared with other resorts we have selected. There was no couch or separate seating area, the television being visible only if sitting on the bed. There was also a small table and two uncomfortable chairs tucked away in the corner. Lastly there were two bathtubs, one in the bathroom and one on the balcony. Neither were of the "jacuzzi" style so just a lot of space used for nothing practical. All in all a very pleasant week of relaxation and sunshine.

Macao Dreams Vacation
We stayed at the dream resort in Maaco Beach Dominican Republic. We had an amazing time. We had everything planned for us with the help of our Butler Domingo. He greeted us every morning. Got our dinner reservation set up every evening and let us know what the plans were for the day. We had six kids total and eight adults. it really was an amazing trip with his help and we appreciate him so much!!!! I’d give him a 10!

Is Dreams changing the service mentality of Punta Cana?
Dreams Macao completely changed our view of service in the DR. We only came back to DR because of a friend's wedding and were completely surprised by the level of customer service and attention from every department in the resort. On previous visits to Punta Cana, we felt like employees were doing us a favor when asked for service. I guess that Dreams must be paying higher wages or something to see this change. Very impressed and highly recommended!
