Feb 21, 2025Caution! Food is subpar and wait times are a disaster. Resort facilities are top notch.
Word of caution: Listen to the other reviews about food quality and poor service wait times (sort by one and two stars and look at the stock responses from the hotel…more below). Pros: + Resort facilities are fantastic (pools, beach, and waterpark) and the staff is courteous. + Dolce is a must visit for coffee, ice cream, and/or pastries. + Fusion is probably the best specialty restaurant out of the group. Cons: - Avoid Maris at all costs (took us two hours to get our food even after placing our orders immediately upon seating). Food was inedible (crab cake, scallop risotto, chicken fingers, French fries, etc) - Management response times. I filed a complaint during our stay and have yet to receive an actual response from management…it’s been 3 days and I’m still waiting. Also, I would recommend looking over poor reviews of food and service wait times…very consistent complaint. Moreover, look at the stock hotel responses to each review…management doesn’t care and they haven’t taken any action to address the repeat issues. “We are very sorry to learn that your recent visit didn’t go as expected. Your feedback is highly important to us. Rest assured we will take into consideration your comments to improve our service and prevent a recurrence of such an event...”

Feb 20, 2025Large destination Valentine’s wedding review
From start to finish, we were treated like royalty as the bride and groom and all our guests felt the same. We were assigned Michelle as our concierge the first day and had Alberto the rest of the time and both were fantastic. Alberto specifically helped with everything from amazing dinner reservations, to revering chairs and Bali beds, helping secure formula for our infant, and everything in between. And he did it all with a smile and quickly! People like Alberto make it an easy decision for us when we think about visiting again in the future!! Paloma was our wedding coordinator who made sure all of our dreams came true and helped us navigate the many options for all the events we held for loved ones. Additionally, we hit the spa for a couples treatment one day and Liz and Lucy were so attentive and made us feel relaxed and calmed. Highly recommend requesting either of them for your next treatment!! Everyone made our wedding week such a memorable experience, and our friends and family have already been raving to us about the service the experienced all around!

While we liked the resort's ambiance and enjoyed the pools and bars and most of the restaurants, our experience for the hotel room was not the best. Upon settling into our room, I discovered an opened can of Coca-Cola hidden under my pillow on the bed. This was a highly unsettling and disappointing find, especially considering the high standards typically associated with a Hyatt resort. And again, 2 days after that I found 2 more coca cola cans at random places in our room. Also they didn't change the sheet when they came to clean the room. I know that since I saw the small spot I saw on sheets earlier that day.

Great place and awesome staff - Terrible food
The hotel is beautiful and in a great place. It's safe and secluded. Pros: The staff - Shout out to Jazmin and Alejandro at Secretes - Ernesto, Juan, and Roger at Dreams for always being so friendly and wanting to help make our stay great. The rest of the staff was great too facilitating games and what not. Nice facilities - pools and restaurants Great excursion options...but it's not included. Not all inclusive then right? Cons: THE FOOD! Garbage. I lost weight on this trip... Large volume and low quality. The pool water was 50% urine but it's a kids resort. Secrets was way cleaner and better to hang by the pool Don't fall for the Preferred Club. It's not worth the premium at all and the "top shelf" is Titos... Grey Goose? Extra charge at a massive mark up. Overall very middle of the road experience. Better food and actually premium alcohol would be good but I guess that's not the priority when it's a "family" resort. Maybe Secrets would've been better?

Do not waste your money
Sheets were very rough. Bars were VERY understaffed so the bartenders were rude and the wait was 45 minutes. Food was a 3 and that was if you can get into one, wait times could be over 2 hours. Employees didn't know where certain rooms were. Do not recommend.
