Not the same Dreams
food was sub par except for brazilian steak house and habichi, had to wait 1-2 hrs to get into the restaurants, not enough help, and they have removed tables, 2 restaurants were closed each night, can't take kids under 13 to french restaurant. pool was very good, pool activities were great. preferred club was very nice. this is not the same vacation club that i bought into 10 yrs ago.

A perfect family vacation!
Everyone in my family had a wonderful time at Dreams Playa Mujeres! The food, the pools, the room...all exceeded our expectations! We had a family suite, so it was two adjoining rooms, which was perfect for our family of four. My son and I did the dolphin swimming (riding) experience and it was great. I was nervous about animal welfare but the staff seemed very invested in caring both for the animals and the environment. One thing I wish I'd known ahead of time is that there is definitely a tipping culture at this resort. This was NOT the case at the resort we went to last year. We did not come prepared with cash for tipping, and I regret that. That said, though, everything on the hotel's end was lovely, and we would return in a heartbeat!

The Hernández Family’s Amazing Experience at Dreams Playa Mujeres
This was our second time at Dreams Playa Mujeres, this time to celebrate our 14th anniversary, and from the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Valeria at reception welcomed us with a big smile and made sure we got our room earlier than the regular check-in time, which was such a nice surprise. After a long trip, that small detail made all the difference and set the tone for what turned out to be an incredible stay. But if there’s one thing that truly stood out during this trip, it was the amazing people who made our experience unforgettable. Renan, Saulo, and Ana López completely stole our hearts. Renan, our waiter at Maris, was beyond incredible. His service was impeccable, but what really made him special was the way he connected with our family. He even did magic tricks for our kids at the table, and they were absolutely amazed. It’s rare to find someone who puts so much effort into making guests feel special, and Renan did that effortlessly. To top it off, he prepared an amazing flambéed dessert, making our dinner feel like a true event. Then there was Saulo, the manager at Maris, who went above and beyond. Our favorite restaurant at the resort, the Mexican one, was closed every night during our stay, which was disappointing at first. But Saulo and his team, along with Onel, the Assistant F&B Manager, made sure we didn’t miss out. They organized a special dinner at Maris, where they surprised us with esquites, churros, and our favorite desserts. It wasn’t just about the food—it was the thoughtfulness and attention to detail that made us feel truly valued. And we can’t forget about Ana López, who worked in Public Areas. She always had a smile on her face, making sure everything was spotless and welcoming. It’s easy to overlook the people working behind the scenes, but Ana’s warmth and dedication were impossible to miss. Of course, we also have to mention Fabiola, the hostess at Maris; Leo, our server; Carlos at the breakfast buffet; Jesús, the bellboy; and Jessica, our housekeeper. Every single one of them made us feel at home with their kindness and great service. Our son had an amazing time too, thanks to the Kids Club team. Every staff member there was fantastic. They took great care of him, kept him entertained, and he absolutely loved all the activities. We even celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with them, and he had a blast climbing the rock wall and joining all the fun. It was such a relief as parents to know he was having the time of his life while we relaxed. Not everything was perfect, though. At the Asian restaurant, one of the waiters treated us quite poorly, which was disappointing considering the amazing service we received elsewhere. But the biggest issue was an incident with the elevator. While carrying my baby in his stroller, the elevator malfunctioned, and I ended up hurting my back. Thankfully, it wasn’t anything too serious, but the hotel’s response was disappointing—they told us that if we didn’t pay for a doctor and an ambulance ourselves, they wouldn’t take responsibility. That left a bad impression, especially after such a wonderful stay. Despite these setbacks, what really makes Dreams Playa Mujeres special isn’t just the facilities or the beautiful beach—it’s the people. The warmth, the attention to detail, and the genuine care we received from the staff are what will bring us back. This hotel has officially become our favorite, and we’ll be returning soon to celebrate my birthday. Thank you to everyone who made this trip so special. See you soon, Dreams Playa Mujeres!

World Class Concierge Service
Alberto has given us one of the best stays we have ever had at a resort. I’ve never had someone go so far above and beyond to make us feel special, and it just wouldn’t have been the same without him. We have never stayed at an all-inclusive before…it didn’t seem to be our style. But we got walked by Andaz Mayakoba when they shut down for renovations, and moved to Dreams. We try for peaceful and relaxing vacations, so the little-kids-everywhere vibe here isn’t quite what we were looking for, as I get anxiety due to noise sensitivity issues. But having Alberto’s help reserving restaurant dinners, and avoid the very busy and loud buffet was so meaningful for the enjoyment of our stay. Additionally, being vegetarian (with a picky teenager) restricts our options for food, which Alberto was happy to accommodate. The private dinner he arranged last night absolutely thrilled my family and made me feel like the most important guest on the property. He responded to my questions on his day off, found us chairs when we arrived and they were all reserved (my biggest fear at a resort is no chairs with shade available), ensured we had awesome Bali beds the rest of our stay, and just generally made me smile like we had been friends for years. Never hugged a hotel employee before, lol.

Good but be prepared to wait.
Beautiful resort but found it really frustrating for eating. We travelled with our family group ages starting at 2 to almost 70. If you didn’t line up to get a spot by 5:00pm for when a la carte restaurants open at 6:00 you could expect to have to wait until 7:30 (or later) for a spot. Even the buffet wouldn’t open until 6:30 and good chance you’d wait in line to get in there. I don’t ever recall an all inclusive that was run that way. We had one meal at the Mexican restaurant which was horribly slow service (almost 2 hours which was surprising for a Mexican restaurant in Mexico we thought). The pool chairs were grabbed by 6:30 - perhaps not uncommon but be prepared for that. Staff very courteous but our guess was the resort was overall understaffed.
