Rolando at El Patio restaurant was an excellent waiter. He was very quick to get our orders of food and drink, including complications with special dietary needs. His English was also excellent. He went above and beyond to anticipate our needs.

A dream resort for everybody to enjoy a great time vacation
It was a unique experience about everything. From the every day maintenance of the resort, housekeeping, bars and restaurants, everybody is working hard to exceed your expectations. Tips or not tips, the services are excellente. All staff are friendly and professional, trying to make you feel comfortable like at home. Entertainment is very professional, and good quality shows. The resort is offering a variety of activities that you cannot be board. Room is been cleaned twice a day, and they have new open concept bathrooms design. Food is excellent, if you ask for special menu, chef can cook for you anything you desire. The resort it self it'a a dream you don't want to wake up. In the last evening at the resort we had a surprise special dinner at the buffet organized by the sea food night chef, Ivan Reyes and Juan A. the waiter. Ivan prepared for us fish, and shrimps with risotto, mexican style, super tender and delicious. The setting of the table, and the firework cake also made our experience more unic. With great thanks to sea food chef Ivan and Juan the waiter for making us feel special during our last dinner at the buffet. Monica :)

Food: I read a lot reviews about bad good or meh food but honestly my husband is a chef and extremely critical of food, we absolutely loved the food. The french restaurant was kinda meh but really only because it was supposed to be the best one there, it wasn't. Hands down El Patio is the best, the buffet is also pretty stellar and anyone who says otherwise doesn't have good taste, or hasn't tried different cuisines. We tried everything there was, even the room service wasnt bad, pretty good in my opinion. The drinks were amazing, must try a tamarind mezcalita. The pools are amazing, we have a toddler and went with another couple who also has a toddler, the staff clearly works very hard to keep everyone entertained and things cleaned. They regularly walked around collecting towels and any garbage they might see. They were all attentive. I only had one bartender who was kinda rude at the infinity pool bar (was snippy) but luckily another bartendder showed up and treated us very well. Ofcourse the more you tip the better the level of service is but thats the same everywhere. Kids really loved the place, we had a room with a pool which i pretty much lived in. Service, As mentioned in all other reviews service was amazing. The front desk did try to sell us the preferred but also didnt have any proffered rooms available when we said no the agent offered it to us for free but without a preferred room ( didnt want to lose the plunge pool) preffered didnt make much of a difference to be honest. It gave us access to a lounge we never used (boring) and access to a beach bar which is generally closed for weddings in the evenings (day time you probably wont be leaving the pool anyway) Room was amazing, we had a premium with a plunge pool, like i said i lived in that pool lol, the bathrooms were clean, housekeeping is also very attentive one day they even cleaned our room twice for some reason lol. Room sevice was quick, they tell you they will be a 45-50 minutes but generally they overestimate and always show up before that. The lotions and hair products provided in the room are amazing!!!! I was obsessed with the shampoo and conditioner. I had taken a lot of my own stuff with me but barely used any of it. The beach ofcourse has sargassum as it is the season but they literally clean it all the time, they do their best and there were activities that are also included in your al inclusive such as sail boat (catamaran) and some other stuff. I went on the sail boat and wow what a beautiful space, even with the tons of sargassum kt was still beautiful, just amazing. Activities Be prepared to dance, play ball, watch the fire show and much more. This was an amazing place to be. Highly recommend. Again just a reminder i am picky and went in with a nitpicky bunch, no one complained at all, i was shocked at some of the reviews i had seen had left me dreading this property but i was so delightfully happy. Lastly dont eat on the balcony or leave plates there, a raccoon will show up right away.

Elevated the experience
We had a wonderful time at the Bordeaux (french restaurant). The service was exceptional. Our server Roberto was attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured my allergy was addressed. He even made us a handmade dessert involving flames! Would return again.

Dreams Riviera Better Than Expected
My family had a great time at Dreams Riviera Cancun, hotel is not too large and overwhelming, which was great for us. Everything was in a comfortable walking distance. Food was great here as well recommended the Japanese restaurant for dinner and Seaside grill for breakfast.
