    Reasonable resort

Went in Mid December with a 7 year old and a toddler. The good: My 7 year old loved the nightly entertainment. He enjoyed the rock/dance show, dance music show, 80’s music show and the magic. I didn’t love the magic show but it was all included. The entertainment staff really try. I give the credit. Positive attitude, and they make an effort. I thought the food was good. The Mexican food was enjoyable, the Italian restaurant was good. Although it seemed to book quickly. The Asian was mediocre . The steak house was mediocre. The breakfast buffet was good. The ice cream and coffee stand was good. The bad: The facilities need renovation. They were doing some outdoor painting. Our room coffee maker outlet was broken but repaired quickly. The bathroom shaving mirror did not work correctly. Randomly lit up. You can see many places in the bathroom that are just touched up paint. Leaky faucets. We had 2 double beds and no balcony. We would have really preferred 2 queens and a balcony. The main pool is heated but tiles are coming off dozens a day. Some of the kids made it into a game to collect. 2 other pools were very brisk. Prefer warmer. The VIP pool was gorgeous but hidden in shade and very cold to use. I wish it was heated. One of the elevators was down 5/6 days. It made the elevator situation brutal. Literally had to just self soothe and not get angry every time I had to wait excessive time for an elevator. The preferred club was meh. There’s a 2nd floor lounge which is nice if you have a group that wants to hang. Also it does make checkin and check out easier. The food was not good at the lounge. There is a vip bar there which is a good feature. The beach area is separated and so you can guarantee beach sitting. That was nice. They have attendants just for the preferred area. Their service was just ok. The special beach menu was worse than the regular side menu. The only thing on the beach menu that was good was the octopus hard taco. The vegetable platter was sad. They give a special breakfast restaurant for the preferred but the menu was worse than the regular buffet. Unless you need the lounge for a larger group the preferred club was not a major perk. I’m not a regular all inclusive person. Last time was maybe 12 years ago at the iberostar Cancun. I would consider this “average” with the entertainment being the major plus (for my 7 year old). I booked through Hyatt all inclusive. Let’s just say the ap, website, contact and user interface was below average. I’d rather not use the Hyatt all inclusive service in the future. This is just an Ok resort. If you are on a budget and the price matches, it’s fine. I had booking issues due to Hyatt all inclusive. No one from Hyatt cares that I had a terrible experience with my booking process. I made multiple complaints but they don’t care.

    Slay

My family and I came last year and came back again! Awesome place with even more awesome staff. Andy and Oscar and Gerson we’re excellent and always checked on us to make sure we had beach chairs and drinks. Alexandra sang in the lobby bar at night and was incredible. She has an amazing voice with awesome song selections. 10/10!!

    Explorer club

My daughter loved the explorer club! Itzel, Elsy, Karla and Analy were amazing. The club offered crafts, lunch and activities that my daughter really found exciting. We were able to drop her off there without any concerned for her safety.

Friendly, welcoming staff and delicious food

I can't rate this resort highly enough! The staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms are clean and comfortable and well-equipped, and the location is perfect. This was my first trip to Cancun and if I have the chance to return I will definitely book here again. Thanks to all for making it a memorable vacation!

    Not what we expected

Booked vacation package with Southwest vacation that had several offers and all inclusive. When we arrived we were told certain things we expected were not included unless we paid more per night to upgrade to preferred. Checking took over an hour and concierge keeps trying to get us to visit sister property which we didn't want. I would say do your research and make sure all inclusive is all inclusive. A
