Feb 01, 2025Dreams Tulum is Dreamy!!!
We have visited and enjoyed very much several Secrets resorts, specifically Secrets Maroma, Secrets Akumal, and others, and decided to check out Dreams Tulum as a destination trip for future business trips and a family trip. Wow were we pleasantly impressed. The grounds and landscaping are visually beautiful, and transport one to multiple locations, both desert vibe and tropical. Love love the walkways lined with palm trees, giving us Beverly Hills vibes. Staff everywhere is professional and friendly, and as always, we are welcomed "Home". Food is good, but not as over the top cuisine as the Secrets resorts. We realize this is a family resort, but overall we enjoyed all the restaurants, specifically the Seaside Grill, the ocean waves as we dine by candlelight is truly heavenly. And the food is good, we especially enjoyed the salmon. We had great hamburger lunches, freshly grilled at the poolside grill, with lots of fixings and French fries. great for kids and adult alike. Fitness is important to us, so we were impressed with the cleanliness and the gym attendant, Horacio, who was incredibly diligent keeping machines and equipment germ-free and in good working order. They have plenty of free weights, waters, elliptical, bike, treadmills, etc. I also loved the outdoor gym, equipped with Flintstone style wood-hewn weights and room for lunges and any other outdoor workouts. A nearby tennis court had rackets and balls at the ready for a few sets. I really was impressed with Horacio, looking forward to seeing him on our next visit! Lots of wonderful trails meander through the resort, making it perfect for a quick run, or walks, the beach is long and beautiful, some guests walked for miles. Gorgeous views all around, from the lobby, the first glimpse at the resort and ocean is really breathtaking upon arrival. The Kids area is amazing! If you have small children, the staff is friendly and loves kids, little waterpark is in an enclosed area away from the main pool, along with gaming area for older kids and awesome nighttime actives for the parents to drop off their kids and go have a fun evening while the kids are well entertained! Overall, we loved this resort, and enjoyed it as much as the adults-only Secrets. Beautiful resort, great food, awesome, pools, and perfect if you do have kids too. Highly recommend!

Feb 01, 2025Comfortable, but not luxury vacation
For a Dreams resort, this was acceptable at best. The resort itself has seen much better days and is in desperate need of a face lift. However, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly and very helpful, and the food at the main buffet and restaurants were good. The bartenders were very generous with the alcohol. We were mostly irritated by the lack of personnel and the reservation-less restaurant system that included wait times up to nearly an hour for dinner. This could easily be solved with a reservation system via the Dreams app or the concierge. The hostess staff was not trained to think critically about putting parties together, or moving tables, or just generally paying attention to the floor to ensure timely seating. We often had to do her job for her. All that said, given the variety of all inclusives in this class in this area, I would probably not stay here again if given the choice.

Super location by the beach with surrounding jungle. The best thing about this resort is the people working there, especially the entertainment team. Victor is a unique human being, so funny, warm and great at his job! Love him. Food and drinks are good, nothing exceptional. Hotel grounds and rooms are starting to show its age, but I saw the staff working constantly to keep it ship shape.

Good but could be better
Staff was tip friendly. Only if you tipped, then you were treated nicely. The housekeeping wasn't great. Simply cleaned the bed & bathroom. We had a broken glass in the room that we left front and center to be removed and it wasn't ever removed. Hyatt took over Dreams & you were constantly harassed with promos and "Exclusive deals just for you." Restaurants are closed on certain days. So even though you see 5-6 restaurants, only 2-4 might be available per night. Check out could be more organized. Waited for the bellhop 30 mins. However, the drinks are great and the food is excellent! The property itself is very beautiful and clean. Great daily entertainment. Its really the housekeeping services & staff that weren't great. Every corner you turned, you felt like you were being ripped off by staff. We overheard them calling people cheap for not tipping. Pretty sure one staff member was trying to sell us drugs. He kept asking us if we wanted to "PARTY PARTY"

Wonderful Wedding
Dreams Tulum was where I chose to elope with my now husband ! It was our first time traveling to Mexico and staying at an all inclusive resort. I read so many reviews and they all seemed positive. My stay absolutely passed my expectations for the overall experience. The staff is so extremely kind and helpful. The food is great, although it can leave a little to desire. We did an excursion and it was easy to book and we had no issue leaving the hotel. The beach is beautiful, the pools are nice. It was a really wonderful time and I would 100% go back!
