First trip there - definitely will return!
Just returned from a 7-night stay, first time there. We absolutely loved it. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They are always cleaning and it shows. The food quality and choices were excellent. Shout out to Roger, the activities guy - from the minute we met him, he remembered our names and always informed us of the day's activities, and to Ari, the doorman/bellhop - was so friendly, funny, and helpful in getting us taxis and telling us about the area. Would definitely recommend and we are already planning our next trip there in August.

Lovely boutique resort
Had a fantastic time here! We were all inclusive for a week at the end of March '25. This is an all inclusive boutique resort. The food was amazing! The staff were happy and accommodating. Daytimes were lively with the cruise crowd and day passes with the evenings quiet. Rosita from house keeping kept checking in with us to see if we needed anything (Rm 1433). Thank you!

Great Staff, thank you to all!
The staff here is amazing. We came for Spring Break 2025 and were immediately invited in with drinks while we were checking in. Anytime we needed something the staff moved quickly to ensure our needs were met. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Daily activities hosted by Roger, who went out of his way to invite everyone he could find. Another special shout out to Ari, who worked tirelessly to ensure we were well taken care of. I will definitely be staying at this place again. I highly recommend.

Great, service, food and views
Fernanda, Naomi, Becky. Emy We had a fantastic experience. We did the all inclusive elite and the food was amazing. My family enjoyed the snorkeling on the beach chasing all the different fish and rays. We have been hoping around and I have appreciated the comfortable beds and especially it being quiet at night. From my corner room I had a beautiful view of the sunrise and the sunset, (though the cruise ships sometimes blocked the sunset) We were able to try lots of different drinks including my new favorite the dirty monkey. Emy took great care of us checking in and gave us good guidance and kept me from making a mistake. Fernanda made our check out enjoyable and facilitated finding my daughter's glasses that we tried finding on our own for a day. She mobilized the staff and saved us just before check out. Big thanks to our waitress Becky for sharing her sweet personality and for making our dinners enjoyable. A big Thank you to our favorite wolf Naomi who made us feel special every time she served us. We enjoyed getting to know her and are greatful for our new friendship.

Exceeded our expectations
We stayed at El Cid for 2 weeks in February. We were a bit unsure how it would be, based on reviews we read previously, and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It is located right by the cruise ship terminal, so about 30-40 minute walk to town - which we enjoyed for exercise. (There are taxis readily available if you don't feel like walking). There were always spots available at the pool (no towel games!) and beachside. We really enjoyed snorkeling right in front of the hotel, and there were plenty of fish to see. The activities coordinator, Roger, did a great job at getting people involved, and we enjoyed playing pool volleyball. We stayed in room 2310 and it had an amazing view and a bistro table to enjoy morning coffee/sunset happy hours. We were happy with our choice not to do the all-inclusive. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times and the food was great and reasonably priced, compared to town. There is only one restaurant so I think it could get boring if doing AI. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would choose this resort again if returning to Cozumel.
