We enjoyed everything about our stay. Was not crowded at all (Feb 2025) and had great service. Food was really good! Drinks were a little weak ( we had all inclusive) , but just ordered extra shot of tequila to add to drinks. We were really happy to enjoy the covered Sun chairs.

Wonderful Staff!
Great resort! Not super fancy but everything is comfortable and well maintained. Roger, the activity director is a real gem and so is Saul at the excursion desk. They both went above and beyond to make our time memorable. All the staff was so kind and friendly. Had a couples massage and the the therapists were fantastic. I would highly recommend the stay.

Check off all the boxes
El Cid La Ceiba was located right in the harbor where all the Cruise Ships come in. This may be a sore sight for some, but we found it interesting. The resort could use some up dating, but overall all our needs were checked off. All the staff were very helpful. The only issue was how the free transportation was explained. There will be no one at the airport to meet you, even though the letter of instructions says there will be. You have to get your own taxi and then give the receipt to the resort for reimbursement upon arrival. The snorkeling on site was good.

We had a great time on our family vacation. This was our sixth trip to El CID and we will likely come again.

Sat on the beach, did some snorkeling, eating lots.
What a great place. Rooms were comfortable. The food was amazing. The weather was pleasant. Not too hot not too cold. The staff is amazing, very accommodating. But most of all, Roger! Who did all the entertainment. Nicest guy you’ll ever meet. Remembers everyone’s name. And the entertainment he provides is second to none. Love that guy. And you will too. Highly recommended. Say hi for me when you see him.
