Wonderful resort!
El Ci is an excellent place to stay. The staff is wonderful, especially Alejandra and Marissa in the Club Elite. They were both so helpful and always pleasant. Our butler Avi was great too. Julio, one of the bellmen was always helpful too. The housekeeping staff provided excellent service, especially Ailde. We will definitely come back.

Charging for wifi is an insult to your guests.
Was our 4th visit and likely our last. Great property, great food and great staff. Ricardo 2.0 is fantastic. Despite all of this, charging for wifi in 2023 is OUTRAGEOUS!!! It is a total cash grab and feels like a giant rip off. At the bare bare bare minimum, wifi should be available in the lobby for emergencies at home and for travel arrangements. Read your reviews, it is a common complaint as it should be! I would love to hear your justification for charging for something that is free worldwide. Unless this addressed, you have lost a loyal family forever.

Wonderful Stay Once Again!
El Cid Marina Mazatlan is our favorite resort in Mexico for so many reasons. Our stay in January 2023 was our 4th visit and will not be our last. The atmosphere is beautiful and so well maintained, all inclusive food plan is great (especially breakfast at La Marina), rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Most notably, the staff are absolutely outstanding. I cannot express this enough!! They all work so hard to go above and beyond to ensure every guest enjoys their stay in Mazatlan. I would like to specifically shout out these exceptional staff: - Ricardo 2.0 at the iguana pool - Israel at the calypso pool crafts booth helped us create beautiful painted souvenirs to take home - Eduardo at the Calypso pool - Ruben at El Alcazar restaurant My one complaint that really should be fixed is charging for wifi. $12 USD a day is a rip-off. It’s a really bad look given that most people consider wifi essential, so they are left with no choice but to pay this crazy inflated price. This practice seems very out-dated for 2023. The hotel should at the very least offer free wifi in a common area like the lobby for essential use. We ended up buying SIM cards at the local OXXO down the street, but hope by the next time we visit we won’t have to do that.

New Year in Mazatlan
We celebrated the New Year at El CID Marina Hotel with my wife and I plus our four adult children. We purchased two all inclusive one bedroom suites and it gave us ample room. We took advantage of the spa, the Marina excursion, and golf course during our stay. The rooms were great and included nice views of the Marina and pool area. The beds were the best! They were soft and came with down like pillows and comforters. The property comes with two restaurants and three grills at the pools and beach. Our favorite was La Terraza not just for the food but mostly for our favorite waiter Antonio. He made us feel like family and cut up with us the whole week. We will all miss his wonderful smile and sense of humor. El CID has many other dinner options at their sister properties including Japanese, Argentinian, and Italian. Our favorite of those was the Italian for the great food choices, presentation and service. The spa provided us all with massages on the beach and my wife a manicure pedicure and all were very nice. We enjoyed a boat ride to Deer Island and loved the views and fun time in the water. The only suggestion to offer is heat the Iguana pool. We would have loved to use this pool for its caves and slides. Overall a great family trip.
