    Would not recommend or return

Our personal experience I saw all the negative reviews and now I wish i had taken notice This is not our first experience of this resort we came around 12 years ago when it was just the palms side and Ioved it so decided to give the suites side a try After the farce at the airport waiting nearly 3 hours to get through we got to our transfer When we arrived at our room there was a big gaping hole in the ceiling just outside our door i pointed this out to the bell boy who was with us carrying the luggage and he said that it was due to be fixed the next day Room was nice and big The next morning we went to see the concierge to book restaurant Can we book for tonight No sorry fully booked Can we book tomorrow night No sorry fully booked so we eventually booked for Sunday at the clay talay The concierge did say you can just walk in to the other restaurant on the resort with the exception of the klay talay and the Italian We tried on 3 nights to get a table at the walk in restaurant we arrived at 6 -30 to be told no table until around 9 -30pm or some not at all You cannot just walk in as they are always booked up Its constant queuing or waiting To top it all we were asked on arrival are you celebrating anything special Yes this trip is especially for my birthday Concierge on the only time we spoke to him asked the same and we told him On my birthday nothing absolutely nothing So why ask Going back to the issue with the hole in the ceiling outside our room 4 day's later we returned to our room to find workmen on scaffolding outside our door with a load of rubble on the floor We had to walk under the scaffolding to enter our room My husband complained to the concierge about it who said do you want to change rooms A bit pointless when we were leaving in 3 days but why did they even allocate the room to us in the first place The day before we left there was a whole workforce on our landing fixing drilling and painting this was ridiculous Would i return here or recommend it definitely not

    Best trip ever!!

I stayed here with my dad and my sister as a family vacation. First of all we loved this resort overall and would 100% come back. The grounds are stunning with many different photo opportunities and scenic views. Everything is well manicured and you can tell how much work is put into to making the resort look as beautiful as it does. One small negative to note before getting into all of the positives is: Upon checking in, we unfortunately were not given the rooms that we requested almost 6 months in advance. We did call prior and again were reassured they would do what they could to meet our request for 2 rooms next to each other, one with a king and one with 2 doubles. We ended up being given 2 king rooms next to each other & they brought up a “single bed” which was a cot and not comfortable. My sister and I ended up needing to share a bed which wasn’t ideal. Apparently they only have a very limited amount of rooms with 2 double beds (1 per floor), and they are given to larger parties first which I do understand, but I wish we had been told that sooner. That being said they did offer to switch our room later on in the trip, and provided us a late check out so all good. Now all of the positives: Staff is wonderful, they are all incredibly friendly and offer the best service ever. Even on the beach you’re not seated more than 3 minutes before a staff member offers to bring you a drink. The entertainment is incredible. Benjamin was there everyday of our trip and was a huge reason why our trip was as enjoyable as it was. He is fantastic and works so hard to make sure all of the guests are having a good time. We really enjoyed all of the pool side activities, clay pot painting, foam party, silent disco and more. Rooms and common areas like lobbies, bathrooms and restaurants are always pristinely clean & well decorated. There are always staff members around ensuring that everything is up to snuff. Beds are very comfortable. The pool on the balcony is amazing and we saw staff members cleaning them often. The food is amazing and the best food I’ve ever had while on a resort. Eat at the Italian restaurant, it’s incredible. One small thing to note with dinners is there are many a la carte options, however most of them do not require a reservation and will almost always come with a wait time for a table. We were very pleased with the shuttle system, there are signs at the stops that say wait times are 20 minutes however we were never there longer than 5 minutes waiting (and the resort was almost at full capacity). The resort is also very walkable if you’re not a shuttle person. Pool at seaside can be a little bit loud due to all of the entertainment and activities, however the pool bar closed at 5:30 so noise dies down after that if you’re not into the hype environment. The beaches are beautiful. The beach on seaside has many cabanas that were always available while we were there, no reservations required. There were staff there cleaning the rocks out of the ocean floor while we were there and the beach is very swimmable on the seaside side if you’re not interested in heading over to the palms side which has a nicer beach. If you’re thinking of staying here, do it! You will not regret it.

Fantastic is you like your evening meal at 530

I am fortunate to go on holiday every month, around the world so have seen hundreds of hotels to compare against There are a number of things to recommend this, lovely calm sea (shallow), top shelf drinks, lots of buggies to take you around the resort if you don’t want to walk (e2e it is no more than 10-15 mins so ok for most people), a few sunbeds available still by 11-12 (but not lots, you have to look around) and well presented and tasty food options However, I have put one star because of the following 1) we paid for a premium room, I don’t know what this gets me, I believe there is a concierge who “could” tell me but they aren’t there and -haven’t tried to meet me - this second point being the most important :- 2) whilst there are 7 or 8 restaurants which are all a la carte and the food (as I said) is very good, actually getting into the restaurants is next to impossible, :- They all are open 530-10 (well, some are not open every night, it is random and you don’t know until you turn up and the lights are off, but let’s put that to one side) There are two you can prebook (although when we tried to do this first night we were here they were apparently already fully booked all bar two nights of our weeks holiday already) and for all the others you must turn up on spec. And this… is the crux of the issue. By 7pm I was told two of the restaurants were fully booked and the others had a waiting list of at least 90 mins and you must just “wait nearby”. I spotted some bookings had “allocated times” by their future bookings but when I asked how, I was told I had “not seen this” (perhaps they paid extra for this?) This is not a one off it has happened all three nights I have been here to date. So. In a nutshell Be prepared to queue up for evening meal at 530-6 (pretend you are under 10 or over 80). Or… stand outside and wait like a lemon for an hour or two to get in the half full restaurant. Ludicrous Note, I write this with a few days left on my holiday so when (as a one star review) I get the “we are sorry to hear this and we have learnt from this” I will be happy to speak to the customer service manager who writes the meaningless response to discuss what they have learnt. To you the reader… if there is no response or the response is after 17 November then they have intentionally waited until it is too late to respond thus showing they had no desire to implement the simple improvements

Poor management of staff and restaurants spoil a good resort.

It’s a nice resort and the staff are good. However. You simply can’t enjoy and relax on holiday when the evening dinning experience is so badly managed. As a TUI Blue premium customer I don’t appreciate that most of the al -a-carte restaurants are ‘first come first serve’ basis. This sounds fine, but you turn up at 7pm to be told 90 minutes or longer wait. This ruins your evening. Oh go use the buffet restaurants instead? NO. First off, the buffet restaurants were small, selection poor, and food was poor. I paid a lot to go on a luxury spec holiday and I’m wondering if I’m getting fed at night. When you look in the window or the restaurants, at least a third of the tables are empty…. Why…. Oh, for the ‘club’ customers who can demand instant the access… wait one… a premium customer has to sit outside and wait….. every single night….????? And when you get in, 45 minute wait for starters? Drinks which take 20 minutes to turn up? ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Even breakfast, you often had to queue (outside) for a table, in the buffet restaurants. Which are simply too small and under staffed to cope. And again, the food choice, limited and very much not international. The staff that were there were very over worked, didn’t stop, and tried their best to remain calm and courteous. But not enough staff. Example. Morning breakfast rush. Two or three waiters serving drinks etc. however, no one dedicated to cleaning tables. The Maitre Dee having to clear and re-lay tables, then rush back to the front desk to take people in. Queues quickly build. It’s not on. This was nothing special it just ruins your experience. The food was mediocre at best. Everything else about this resort is impacted by the inefficient dinning options. We often missed the evening entertainment just in order to eat. As the resort is miles from town there was no alternative. I would not rebook the resort. And I would never say it’s deserving of being a TUI Blue special resort.
