The check in process is a mess. I’ve stayed at this hotel 5 times in a year and every time I need to provide my information multiple times. One benefit I am supposed to have is early check in. Despite this, I arrived at 2:45 and was told after a long day of travel they would charge me $50 if I wanted to check in before 3. Fine, so I waited in the lounge until after 3:30 when my room was finally ready. Housekeeping not attentive. We had to repeatedly ask for towels and water which should be basic. Love this area but the service especially check in needs to be improved

The best hotel in Santo Domingo with a 5 star service and clean facility. The staff is attentive to the needs of the guests and very kind. They are interested in making sure you have a great experience.

DR First Class
Extra friendly and accommodating staff across the board, particularly at the hut. Dariann and Reina provided first class service. They made me feel welcome and remembered my Coke zero order upon each day’s arrival. I plan to return to the DR in the upcoming months and I look forward seeing everyone again.

Dominican Republic should do a better job welcoming Black people. As a US African American I was not feeling comfortable with the treatment starting from the airport and some instances at the hotel. The people I met at the conference treated me like their brother and I regard them friends for life. These people had opportunity to see me on a professional level. I am worried on what will happen if I came for a vacation as a black person. As a background, I have worked in 4 continents of the world and travelled in over 20 countries. Due to this experience, I was afraid to go outside the hotel.
