Apr 17, 2025Fun resort - May want to order groceries
The resort was very clean and full of entertainment. We didn’t leave the property but didn’t get bows during g our 5-day trip. The only draw back was the food, because we didn’t feel like there were a lot of choices. Our family of 7 stayed in one of the condos with a kitchen. We ordered groceries for delivery, which was certainly needed.

Beautiful
Beautiful resort and the hotel staff were very friendly, great for families and couples. Big shout out to Omar who helped with our bags and picking and dropping us off in the car round the property on the night! 5 star place would recommend to anyone

Amazing resort- we will be back!
The Fairmont Mayakoba was perfect in every way. You drive in and immediately feel relaxed as you’re handed a cool drink. It’s a mix of jungle and ocean, so whether you want to be in the water or bike or adventure somewhere in the jungle, there’s something for you. The kid’s club and other kid activities are so much fun and our kids walked away with souvenirs they’d actually created. But the best part of our stay was the incredible staff. They make sure you have everything you need and more. We will be back!

Fairmont Mayakoba is great for families!!
A fantastic experience overall, with so many lovely people ready to help make your vacation amazing. The pools are beautiful, as well as the beach, and there were bikes all around and easily accessible to use to get around the resort (even kid bikes!), for no additional charge, as well as resort staff on golf carts who were always ready to take us from place to place on the property. The kids club was an especially wonderful perk, with the option to drop our kids off for an hour (with one featured activity) or multiple hours, depending on our plans for the day—and only a $ charge for the activities that included a project to take home (ie tie-dyed t-shirts, etc.). They even let our 4.5 yr old join, though the kids club is technically for 5+. He just had to do a trial hour, to show he could follow instructions, go to the bathroom on his own, etc. then he was in! The entire kids club team was lovely—especially Keyla and Yadi, who knew our kids’ names and said hi whenever we saw them around the resort. After our trip, my son said he wants to go to school there :)

The Fairmont Mayakoba offers a truly beautiful and serene escape on the Riviera Maya. The location is stunning, with incredible mangroves, breathtaking water, gorgeous architecture, and those perfect sugar-sand beaches. Our beachfront casita was an absolute dream – the outdoor shower and personal pool were highlights! We also enjoyed the great pools throughout the resort. A special shout-out to boat captain Miguel, who was fantastic – so knowledgeable and funny, making our boat tour memorable. While the resort itself is high-end and the staff were generally very kind, there were a couple of hiccups. Our room wasn't ready until two hours past the stated check-in time, which was frustrating after an overnight flight, especially with a tired child. While we appreciated the initial upgrade to a beachfront casita due to my Accor status, it was disappointing that a hotel manager later tried to present this as compensation for the delay. Additionally, the promised 'butler' service was inconsistent, often unresponsive unless the request was simple. Finally, while the location is amazing, we found the food to be just okay, and securing a table could be challenging (pro tip: book your restaurant reservations before you arrive!). Overall, the Fairmont Mayakoba offers a luxurious and tranquil experience with incredible natural beauty and exceptional accommodations like the beachfront casitas. Addressing the responsiveness of the butler service and streamlining the check-in process would elevate the stay even further.
