We wont be back
Although this resort claims to be a nonsmoking property it clearly does not enforce this. We spent 17 days at the Fiesta Americana in room 324. For the last week of our stay we could not enjoy our balcony with it’s beautiful view as the neighbors in room 325 would smoke cigars out on the balcony. The resort claims to be a smoke free resort and when we asked the resort about smoking on the balcony, we were told that this was not allowed. We made it known that our neighbors were violating this rule. Over the next several days we complained every time this was happening, often several times a day from morning until late evening. Many times we could not go out on our own balcony to enjoy the view or the music from the evening performance, or even open the door to the balcony, because of the smoke. Apparently, when we complained, the resort personnel would tell the neighbors that smoking was not allowed on their balcony and we were told that the neighbors had promised to discontinue the practice but in truth the neighbors continued to smoke when ever they were on their balcony. The resort always apologized to us for our inconvenience but essentially nothing was done to stop the smoking. On the last evening of our stay my wife went out on the balcony to listen to the music and was immediately aware that the neighbors were again smoking, fed up she asked “are you people smoking again?” the neighbor then yelled at my wife “I’m sick and tired of this F…g bull s..t and I will smoke when ever I F..g want.” When I heard this I went out to the balcony and explained to the neighbor that he was a self centered and inconsiderate person and that I was calling the hotel manager. The Hotel manager of operations (who has only been in that position for about a month) came to our room with all the same apologies that we had been hearing for the last week, and assured us that he would speak to the neighbors but we explained to him that we were disappointed in the response of the hotel over the last week in that no measure had been taken to actually stop the smoking, just empty words. We also noted during our stay that there was often smoking cigars, cigarettes and marijuana at the pools and on the beach, again against the hotel’s “regulations”. I have photos of cigar butts on the beach.

Amazing stay at the Grand Fiesta
The resort was absolutely beautiful and would definitely recommend. Everyone was very helpful and nice. While all the food in the restaurants were delicious the service was a little slow. Victor and Carlos around the pool were very attentive and made the days so enjoyable. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous and the maid staff was lovely

Breakfast at The Peninsula
Martin and Noemi were fantastic. They were attentive and provided excellent customer service. We have enjoyed breakfast everyday with them. Our favorites entrees were Migas and Juevos Rnacheros. Be sure to ask for them. We will be coming back.

Used to be the best……now not so much! 😔
This has been our home away from home for over 10 years now. When we first started coming, it was a luxurious resort. Now the pools are falling apart. Room service comes in paper bags. I’m not saying anything about the quality of people because they are all absolutely precious from Adriana at the front desk to from Octavio by the ocean. Antonio went above and beyond to find us a room to stay two extra nights. 🥰 I have been a travel advisor for over 10 years and not one time have I sent clients to stay here. Corporate does not care about the little things. There is trash laying everywhere. Again, the cart drivers and the wait staff are all very precious. That’s what keeps us coming back. We have been to many of the shows and they have all been outstanding. Our sales person, Giovanni is absolutely precious, and has always tried to help us in anyway he can. One of the handicap clients that are here now have had to request a fall bar in the shower to no avail. That is unacceptable. The carts are taking longer than usual. I am perfectly fine with our maintenance fees going up if the service stays the same. But it appears that the service is going down and the maintenance fees are going up, which is not acceptable.

Grand Fiesta Americana
Alex, Ramon, and Pablo at Viña Del Mar at Grand Fiesta Americana are the best. Every morning they greet us with smiles and always remember our drink order (which is the most important 😊). They are the definition of ‘hard workers’. We have been coming for years now, and they are memorable!!
