Feb 21, 2025Wonderful!!! Gorgeous hotel and I felt so taken care of there!
My husband and I just spent 6 nights here! We decided to leave the kids at home (although they would have loved it). The people made us fell SO special!! We were greeted with a flower lei. Coleen (or Coreen) who checked us in was so friendly. She gave us a voucher for some appetizers since our room wasn't quite ready. She gave us a bottle of champagne for our anniversary and our room had some beautiful decorations and treats. The women at the club lounge ARE AMAZING!!! They are so so so sweet and make you feel so special. Ana was our friend at the end! She is the best! But Cindi, Alexis, Victoria, are ALSO amazing! The only thing i thought could have been slightly improved is adding some foods to the club lounge. Maybe bacon or sausage on a daily basis and either waffles or pancakes daily.(for some reason there was always a full salad bar at 6:30 am, with meats and cheeses. so if thats your thing you will be happy) This hotel is gorgeous. You will get exercise walking around because its a massive place. But its so pretty you wont mind.

Loved the Grand Hyatt
Our stay at the Grand Hyatt was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. We had a sudden illness upon arrival, and in a situation that left us extremely vulnerable with our three young children, the staff at the Grand Hyatt took care of us and went above and beyond to ensure we were ok. Plenty to do at the resort and around the island. We need at least another trip or two to cover it all. The pools are great with a waterslide and one way lazy river. We stayed at the saltwater lagoon most of the time. There is a lot of seating around the pool area, we never felt like we had to get there super early to reserve seats even on the busiest days. Poipu beach is just a few minutes drive from the hotel, and has a great beach with turtles that come right up to the beach every day. Whale watching is also really easy from the beach. Shops are right around that area too with several great restaurants. I would say that because Kauai is one of the more laidback and remote islands, bring meds like Tylenol as they can be hard to get in the middle of the night. Not a lot is open 24 hours, but thankfully there is a Safeway about 20 mins away in Lihue with all the meds you need. Thank you Safeway!! They have nicest pharmacy staff on the planet.

Lovely anniversary stay
Lovely property and ocean view room. Food at the on property restaurants was generally very good but expensive. We enjoyed the extwnsive walking on the property to get to the restaurants, pool, self parking, etc but some may find this daunting. There was a notable change in the number of families with children over the holiday weekend that we didn't think about when we booked - a mixed bag as it was nice to see families having fun but not good if you prefer a peaceful more adult only setting.

Hyatt Aloha
Outstanding hotel and we have returned most years since our first visit in February 1991 before Iniki. Actually we visited the site before the hotel was built so the property exceeded our expectations. The friendly staff exudes the warm aloha spirit and graciously welcomes us back as a special guest, not a number. The heated river pool as well as the hot tubs, salt water pond and ocean beaches were greatly appreciated. We use this property as the gold standard which we compare other hotels to in our travel. This property would be hard to disappoint you.

Kauai Grand Hyatt is the best there is
My favorite hotel in the world, and I've been to a lot of them. Everything is top notch. Staff is friendly; concierge staff are extremely helpful. Breakfast buffet is outstanding. Rooms are spacious and quiet. Pools are lovely (there is even an adults-only swimming pool).
