Unlimited Vacation Club Rip Off !
Overall, our stay at the Grand Hyatt was excellent. Hotel is amazing, spa is excellent and club lounge is worth it. However, there was one really, and I mean really negative experience that I want to give feedback on with the aim of escalating this to the Hyatt's management attention. When we checked in, a person gave us access to the Club lounge as we were early in the day. While in the lounge they gave us an overview of the property and then asked if we wanted to tour another Hyatt property which we accepted. Fast forward to later that day.....we ended up at a sales pitch given by Unlimited Vacation Club. In hindsight, They did a horrible job explaining that you are basically being sold to join a club that only gives you a minor discount on hotel stays AND they offer a financing plan at 16% interest!!!! And there was total pressure sale that I couldn't even find out what the real benefit or savings were, and I am a profession Engineer! I am a Hyatt Globalist member and just spend the last 5 months traveling around the world with my wife. We recently stayed at Hyatts in Tokyo, Hakone, Seoul, Bali, Istanbul and Athens and this experience here in Mexico was the WORST!!!!!!! I am also a life long Platinum Elite at Marriott and a Hilton Diamond level and I am seriously considering my loyalty to Hyatt as a result of this terrible experience by Unlimited Vacation Club and the fact that the Grand Hyatt allowed a member of their staff to be part of the check in process. Please stop allowing Ultimate Vacation Club to sabotage Hyatt's reputation.

Awesome and Friendly Service
Unfortunately, it rained a lot but the service was excellent. Shout out to Augusto and Carlos at the Grill, and Daniel and Yairo at the Mexican restaurant. They went above and beyond. They were friendly, fun, courteous, helpful, and above all customer focused.

Best part of Mexico
Where to start?! The rooms were nice and the staff kept giving us little touches of hospitality like chocolate covered strawberries, honeymoon balloons/ sign etc. They always made sure we were happy and taken care of. The room service was not always the best but they made up for it at the Sushi and Raw Bar. The food was amazing there and the service was the best I’ve ever had! Skaileth and Sergio were the best and they know how to make you feel special.

Lunch
Franco was incredible! He was attentive and helpful with suggestions. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and shared a variety sushi rolls. Great food, great service, beautiful atmosphere! The view of the ocean added to the whole experience.
