Amazing times at Grand Isle Resort And Residences and spotted interesting people! Great food and fun! Perfect time of year for romance and parties, especially on Emerald Bay. Even more stunning in person! Spa was so relaxing, especially the Lava Shell treatment.

Mar 13, 2025Couple’s Getaway, first time in 17 years!! Perfect place!!!
The wife and I had a first in 17 year opportunity to get away without our daughter for a couples trip. I nailed it with reservations to Grand Isle Resort. The unit we stayed in was incredibly decorated, the grounds were well maintained. The 23 Compass was incredible. The Pina Coladas were perfect. Having said that, the Staff was the real standout. Everyone was friendly, remembered our names. Warmly greeted us at every opportunity. Always asking if we needed anything or had any questions. Paul’s wave and smile always made my day. Palapa’s could get busy, and you need to give them al little time, especially on evenings 23 is closed, but still. Great experience.

A relaxing, safe, and quiet place to stay
The staff here are excellent - kind, down to earth, and accommodating. The resort and grounds is one of the best we’ve ever been to- everything is close by but you don’t feel like you’re on top of everyone. Because the adjacent hotel’s golf course is closed, the cart path provides a wonderful safe and scenic walking/running loop around the resort. The power went off twice during our 8 day stay, but it came back on within a few hours. (We’re unsure if this is due to an island/resort infrastructure issue or a power supply insufficiency, but it would be nice if all the units had back up generators). The water also went out twice during our stay, and we’re also unsure if this was a weather-related situation or infrastructure issue, but staff was quick to respond to begin fixing the issue both times. The food at the restaurants is better than most of the places on the island - the pizza is delicious and an easy take out option. The in-unit washer and dryer are a huge plus.

Perfect Family Vacation
If I could give a review with more than 5 stars I would! We were originally booked at a different location on the island. Upon arrival we were notified of an issue with our reservation, I made a call to Grand Isle, and they had a villa available and took great care of us! This location was perfect for our family vacation! We enjoyed eating at all of the onsite locations, all were great and we didn’t feel we needed to find alternative places off site to eat. The beach and pool were never overcrowded. The room was very clean, fully equipped, and the golf cart was a great bonus for getting around the property. The beach view from our balcony was amazing! But the best part was the friendly staff, specifically Alecia and Ceyon. They took great care of us, called us by name, and made our trip feel special. The service here was top notch. Thank you so much Grand Isle for helping us out when our original plans didn’t work out, and offering us an amazing family vacation. We had the best trip and hope to be back!

AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE
This place was a dream! Everyone was so welcoming and pleasant. Smiles and waves whenever someone walked by you. We stayed in a 3-bedroom condo with an ocean view and it was beautiful. The resort was clean and comfortable all around! Food and drinks were delicious. Beaches were beautiful and never overcrowded. We went off the resort to try some local fare and that was exciting. We didn't rent a car but used Es Tour & Taxi Service (her name was Esther and she was lovely!!) which was quick and convenient. We went on the Exuma Water Sports Boat Tour which was AMAZING!!! Our guides, D and Smiley were the BEST!! Definitely recommend them!! We saw pigs, chickens, iguanas, stingrays, beautiful beaches and a quick hike up to some amazing views. I went with my best friend and my 2 teenaged daughters. We all had an amazing time that we will NEVER forget!!
