6-20th January
Web arrived on 6h January and,Sangster airport is terrible rude staff shouting and actually pushing people to “move to the left I’m fed up telling you” not a good start and the transfer was supposed to be 40mins but took over 2 hours because of traffic ! Our room wasn’t the one we had booked but they quickly moved us the next morning we were also given VIP bands but even though I asked what we could access with those bands the receptionist wasn’t very clear on what extra we could use so we didn’t take that further as we felt that we were be “ dismissed” As other reviews have said people had already put their towels on their sun loungers by 7am so if you wanted to sunbath you will need an early start and, fortunately for me i am an early riser and I dont eat breakfast so I was able to lay on the sun lounger reading most of the day it was ridiculous the amount of people that would put towels on loungers to be never be seen again and the music around the pool area was VERY loud and totally unnecessary The main restaurant food was ok for the first week but it became very predicatable the 2nd week and we had a few servers who would ask what you wanted to drink and didnt come back for over 30mins the chairs too are very grubby in there and badly stained Our room was cleaned every day and the staff were friendly and very polite The coffee shop is a nice place to go they also do cake and sandwiches and you can have a drink in there too their Jamaican coffee and Palladium coffee are certainly worth a try ! On the whole the staff were very helpful and friendly but also be prepared to walk up a very big main stair case at the main entrance or a smaller set of stairs to get to the entertainment area there is only one very small lift in the hotel Would I stay there’s again probably not even through it was nice enough I personally felt the Grand Palladium resort in Mexico was a lot better

2 fabulous weeks in paradise
We spent two weeks here 6-20th January 2025. We also booked a room for our daughter and easily had our rooms changed so we were in the same villa. I became worried about the booking as I had began to read many negative reviews on trip advisor, however, there had been no need to worry as we had a fantastic time. The grounds are vast & beautiful, and maintained to a very high standard. On arrival we were greeted by friendly, welcoming staff and offered a flannel to freshen up and then a cold drink before checking in, which was quick and easy. We were then taken to our room, We stayed in a garden suit, villa 22, the room was spotless and the king size bed very comfortable. Everything in the room was in good working order and the tv was massive! The room was kept clean and the fridge restocked daily. The pool is the biggest I’ve ever seen, and drinks at the swim up bar were plentiful! The bar staff are good fun. We didn’t struggle to get sun beds. The two beach areas are good, particularly sunset cove ( where the water sports are). The sea blue, clear and clean, no seaweed. We found the staff everywhere, except for the sunset cove area, to be friendly, helpful and pleasant. If you’re from the UK and used to tipping at the end of your stay that’s fine, we didn’t find staff expected tips and gave the same service, we did however tip as we went along as the service was good. Some staff stood out from the rest so I’ll name them. Eunice, cooking eggs in Mo’bay buffet. Marcus- lifeguard . Clay- waiter at main pool area. Philip- at pool bar. Brandy- waitress at the Jamaica restaurant. Kanye- waiter at the Mexican restaurant. Richard- waiter at the Italian restaurant. Orlando, Carlan & Mimi- entertainment s staff. It’s disappointing to say that at the sunset cove area not a single member of staff gave eye contact when I spoke to them, they all seemed disinterested and like we were too much trouble, no drinks offered and the chicken hut female chef was extremely rude, no eye contact, rolled eyes and kissed her teeth when I asked for rice with my chicken ( she said “it’s all gone, no” 15 minutes after service started). The female member of staff at water-sports couldn’t be bothered either, my daughter didn’t manage to go scuba diving as she hoped, told the weather won’t be good enough all week! That said they were the only staff who were rude and unpleasant so we didn’t let it spoil our stay. Entertainment is good. Bingo ( like uk bingo lovo) was a brilliant night! Drinks were branded, with lots of choice, Miss Lou bar served amazing cocktails made with top brands. There are several specialty restaurants and we ate in them all, it was easy to book in reception. The Japanese, Mexican and Jamaican were all superb. The Italian was poor, and the steak house wasn’t great. The food in the buffet was excellent, fresh, varied and tasty. We didn’t use the spa (despite being asked daily) as we felt it too expensive. I asked for a price to have shellac gel nails fingers and toes $185!! ( we pay £30 in uk). Overall we loved it here and had an amazing time. We easily recommend staying at grand palladium Jamaica!

Tye dye beach class
The beach class we had today was very interesting, we did a tye dye class, the mini, Orlando, althea abd wesley, were very entertaining also helpful to the visitors, with clear instructions for the visitors to participate in. The results were very impressive, and the colours are amazing.

I’ve stayed at better.
My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon. The resort is nice but needs upgrading. Elevators would be nice for visitors staying on the 3rd floor. Our favorite restaurants were Negril and Xamayca based on the flavor of the food.
