Amazing family holiday
Just returned from a ten day holiday at the Grand Sirenis and what a fantastic hotel! It takes a little while to get your bearings as the complex is substantial but you soon work out it’s all linked by a network of paths and bridges over pools you are set. The hotel is kept incredibly clean. There are staff out all the time ensuring this. The buffet was very good. A great selection of foods to suit all tastes. My kids loved the desert section! Having an onsite Starbucks style coffee shop is a win. For lunch there are various places to get a quick bite but our favourite was the beach buffet with fantastic views of the Caribbean ocean. For dinner you can book from a selection of themed restaurants but it was difficult to book the earlier slots which then allowed you to Watch the live shows at the auditorium at 9pm. Our favourite themed restaurants were the Mediterranean and the Mexican although the steak restaurant was also Good. There are a number of pools but we based ourselves by the pool with the music and actives as the kids loved that one. This pool also houses the ice cream parlour. Great selection of bars although the sports bar deserves a special mention as does the lobby bar for cocktails. Nice atmosphere in the evening. The lazy river was a favourite to do a few times a day. Covers a large part of the site and takes around ten minutes to float around. Rings provided. The only negative to mention was the sunbeds. I hate the fact you have to get up early to “reserve them”. If you can’t beat them join them and sadly even going down at seven most of the good loungers are taken. If we didn’t go down then, by the time we had breakfast we’d have had loungers way at the back in the shade. The forums are rife with complaints about this. Overall a fantastic holiday and will be booking to return in 2027. Staff are so friendly and the small issue with loungers does not detract from an amazing hotel.

Great resort
From the moment we got here it was amazing, Check in was easy and a pleasure, the reception staff was knowledgeable and patient, The ride from reception to building 29 was long but at that time was refreshing to see how big it wS The bellboy brought luggage up and 1st impressions of the room was “wow” it wS clean spacious and very bright Mini bar did include beer, coke and fanta we did ask for sugar free also plenty of water Housekeeping we found wasn’t the best, i felt sometimes they made the bed only, the glasses was never washed Towels was changed every 4 days. The al la carts, the buffet restaurant and breakfast was really excellent and all food was hot in temperature, the waitress staff was polite, friendly and very considerate The bars served top tier drinks as in absolute and jack daniels, never an issue and cava was good ( i dramk this most nights) The chocolate martini from the lobby is delicious thick creamy and rather moreish Animals we was lucky to see monkeys, racoons, cooties, igunas, geckos and cats We will back soon

Room was an issue/rest of resort was fine
This was our 4th visit to GS. We brought a few friends with us this time as well. We requested to stay in a certain area of the resort and upon arrival we were advised that the building had already had a refurbishment. My husband and I walked in to a room that was like a sauna. No air conditioning, handle on balcony door broken and hanging and the sensor for the balcony door was black taped to the frame of the door. After requesting that all gets fixed, we came back to the room to find the a/c control hanging out of the wall by its wires. Door handle still dangling and unable to lock. It wasn't until our 4th day that we had properly functioning a/c after requesting many times. The door handle was made functional but was so loose we were scared it would break each time we used it. On about our 6th morning, we were getting ready for the day, plugged in the coffee maker (which we had done every day), and boom no power or a/c in the room. That was fixed fairly quickly. Next morning, same thing, so one of our friends said bring over the coffee maker and make the coffee in my room. Blew out his power as well. We did get a new coffee maker later that day. Our friend in the room next to us, didn't have a coffee maker the whole 9 days he was there despite requesting one many times. I don't know if it was the luck of the draw or what but after this trip and the one in 2024 when our room was rundown and missing multiple items, I'm hesitant about coming back to this resort. I know that the vacation is not just about the room but it felt like it was one thing after another, after another....... The food at the buffet was excellent as always and the staff are all very lovely. 5 stars in particular to Martha Mendez (beach server), Ramon in the buffet and I can't remember the name of our daily breakfast server but picture is included below. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. We saw wildlife, although there aren't very many Coati there anymore which were fun to watch. We enjoyed the beach but didn't hang out at the pool due to lack of loungers.

Casa Alma must visit
We’ve stayed here for 1 week so far, another to go! Just had dinner at Casa Alma and it was incredible! The chef Arturo provided food that looked as good as it tasted! The service from Elias was the best we have had all trip and that is saying something! Lovely gentleman who couldn’t do enough for us- we booked back at Casa as soon as we could!!
