This is the nicest all inclusive we have ever experienced. It was my husband’s 50th birthday and we were upgraded to a beautiful remodeled room on the oceanfront. The service and attention to detail from the staff is superb. A special thank you to our personal concierge Ramon, our pool concierge, Raymundo, and our pool servers, Leonel, Enrique, & Miguel. They were all so wonderful and made us feel very special!! One of the things we really appreciated is that there was not up-charging for food or beverages that we have encountered at other all-inclusive properties. Everything is included unless you want uber fancy bottles of liquor or wine at dinner. The food is AMAZING and many top shelf drinks to choose from. You feel like you are definitely getting what you paid for. While it is more expensive than some other resorts in the area I would say that it is well worth it. Tip well, they deserve it!

Gourmet food, excellent service
Ah this place is like heaven. If you are looking for a relaxing stay with gourmet food and incredible service look no further. We took our second trip as a couple with an 8 year old this week and loved every moment. Luis Mateo was our very helpful concierge, who assisted us with arranging our dinners and always checked in with us. Our son is a very active kid who loved all the sports and activities. Thanks to Carlos and Mariano at the beach for playing volleyball and soccer and teaching us to boogie board. As for the restaurants, our favourite was Sen Lin (the dumplings and steak salad are so tasty!) followed by Lucca (who knew you could get such amazing pizza in Mexico!). Our only slight complaint is that the nightlife is a bit lacking, there were only two shows there in the week we stayed but that may have been because of low occupancy. The lobby is so huge and gorgeous and it seems a bit of a missed opportunity that there isn't a bar there for people (families) to congregate and socialize.

Nicest staff ever
We just returned from our stay at The Grand Velas in Puerto Vallarta! It was difficult to leave but if we stayed longer I’d be as big as a house! The food is excellent! The best part though is the service! Everyone is so kind and they go out of their way to make every aspect great from our concierge Pearla, our favorite pool waiter Gustavo; our favorite beach waiter Miguel; the beach activity director Carlos; and our waiter Uziel at Frida! Thank you so much everyone, we will be back! Sylvia

Grand Velas, indeed a GRAND experience!
Our 3rd visit to the Grand Velas and it did not disappoint. The staff, our suite and the restaurants are what you expect for this exceptional hotel. There are 5 restaurants on property and Sin Lin is our favorite as we like modern Asian/Thai. The Chef came out on every dinner we had and asked us if he could make anything special for us on future dinners. His attention to detail was incredibly creative with balanced spices that would impress any chef. We actually had planned to stay 9 days, but decided to extend our stay for 3 more days, that's a real tribute to the hotel. The real highlight of our dinner experience was Spider the Magician! This man hands down was the best close up, slight of hand Magician I've seen in a long time. He actually won Mexicos Got Talent Competition and has his sights set on America's Got Talent. He would perform after dinner at the French restaurant Piaf. What an ending to a superb dinner. Bravo Spider, you are indeed one of the best I've seen and I've seen a bunch. To the management and staff at the Grand Velas, thank you for making our stay, a phenomenal experience! See you next year.

My new favorite place
Carlos is absolutely amazing. He is so knowledgeable about all the water activities and the local sits of interest. He is super calm and help teach the easy method for each sport. He takes a true interest in each person and seeks for them to have the best experience. Nadia, Gustavo, Francesco, Jorge, and Jose are truly amazing. Not only attentive to all but so very kind and remember past guests. They make us feel like family!!! Most amazing experience of our lives!!
