Happy customer
The food all around was fantastic. On top of the regular buffet being great out experience at Rest Sabores de Mexico restaurant within the resort was top notch. Alfredo Bobadilla provided the best experience I've had from any wait staff at any restaurant I've been to anywhere.

Great Experience!
We stayed here and our stay was wonderful. The service and food were excellent. Neeniams was a wonderful hostess at La Troje. We also did a spa deep tissue massage with Keiyla and Guadalupe and they did excellent with treatment and massage, we felt relaxed and satisfied. Thank you to the wonderful stay and staff!

Mexican charm with a laid back feel
This was our first time to Puerto Vallarta and we weren't sure what to expect. We wanted something that was more on the smaller quiet side than most other places and I must say for us it was great choice. This is an older resort and does show its age in certain spots but it does make up for it with its friendly staff and of course its charm. The location was close to the cruise port and you could look right from the front door and see the ship at the dock. There is also a grocery store right beside the resort and a Walmart and shopping mall an 8 minute walk away. The resort is not right on the beach but a quick 5 min walk or you can take a shuttle and hotel has dedicated beach chairs with umbrellas and a bar and snacks at the beach. There is a building there that sells shirts, dresses, hats etc and many vendors who walk the beach to sell their products approach you but are friendly and are not aggressive, a friendly no gracias and they continue on. There are no elevators so try to get something on the first or second floor if you have mobility issues. There is no fridge in the rooms but we honestly didn't miss it at all. There are not a lot of outlets but we brought a power bar to charge multiple devices. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are very clean. We stayed for a week and ate all but one of our meals here. Breakfast every morning had a variety of things to choose from .The omelette station was my favourite for breakfast. Most of the time our lunch was from the snack bar by the pool (hot dogs,Hamburgers, nachos and cheese with fixings and had some great bbq chicken also.Dinner was a variety of things and i tried a lot of different things and i must say it was tasty. We did try the A la carte restaurant once and it was great. You need to reserve this with the hostess where you walk into the buffet.Space is limited and its casual dress and adults only. We spent most of our time by the pool which was a decent size, very clean and never felt busy. You may have to grab a beach chair early as they go fast but throught the day other ones become free. They have a variety of music playing from the snack bar at a comfortable volume where you can enjoy listening but never have to raise you voice to talk. The drink staff came by and took our orders and made sure we were looked after. I loved the mango Daiquiris. Iguanas would come out beside the pool to snack on flowers and such and you could also see them on the roof sunning themselves. There is entertainment every few nights and Saturday was a Mexican fiesta buffet with entertainment (dancers and singers). Checkout on Sunday to be out of the rooms was 12:00 and they let us keep our bracelet and watched our luggage in a small room so we could still enjoy lunch and drinks till our shuttle came at 3:00 .They just need to cut your bracelets off before you go. With its laid back feel there isn't a lot of the younger partying type crowd which for us was perfect and was budget friendly. The atmosphere felt like you were at a friend's house. We miss it already and would not hesitate to go back

Love this resort! 3rd tomes a charm
This is my 3rd time staying here in the past 2 years and I love this cozy little resort! My reason for this trip was for dental work and its location is perfect as my dentist is located in the marina. Yes it's an older resort but very clean, no bar fridge or clock radio so no bells or whistles but still very comfortable. I really enjoyed the room I was given as it was on the ground floor with a large patio. I find it's small and intimate and around the pool and its an oasis with all the greenery. One thing I'll mention is the rooms only have single plugins not 2 on the plugin outlet so bring 6 plugin power bars to charge your devices. I found the food to be very good and I was always able to find something and the salad bar had lots of options. Yes they most likely repurpose food but everything I ever took was tasty and the way I look at is we all eat left overs at home so why would they throw away food when they can change or add a few things and make something else, we all do. The resort guests were mainly Mexican families along with older Canadians and Americans, no spring breakers. This is not a party resort if that's what you're after and the resort is quiet at night but there is several bars close by and that's what you'll hear if you leave your patio door open. There is a large supermarket 1 block away called Chedraui and well as many Oxxo real close too for snacks and Walmart is a 10 minute walk. What is outstanding here is the employees. Pool server guys are excellent I would like to mention both David's, Danell, Angel, Eric and Ivan, my drink was never empty for very long. :) Servers in the dining room are very attentive. Housekeeping is excellent and the room was always clean. Please tip all the staff, they all work so hard under that hot sun. Burgers, fries, chicken wings or nuggets at the pool bar are very good. I flew Westjet and was able to stay and use the facilities after I checked out of my room at noon which was nice as I had a later flight home, they cut my wristband off when I was leaving, I'm not sure about any other airlines. They stored my luggage in a locked room behind where the bell boys stand. The beds are very comfortable and soft not like some other resorts I've been too which are hard rocks. There is live entertainment every 2 days, the Saturday night show is amazing with singers and authentic mexican dancers. Saturday nights are Mexican night and they set up tables outside the pool. Taxi from the airport is 370 pesos, going back is 150. Don't hesitate to go, you will love it here. I will be returning next year.
