Our first time in Jamaica
Before we got to this hotel we accidentally got to another hotel instead .The other hotel lobby is significantly more beautiful than this one. At this hotel we entered nothing really wowed us as the other place. Anyhow the guy at the lobby was super friendly and made us comfortable as he checked us in and gave us our bracelet keys. Most of people are wonderful but some can be friendlier or happier. The food is good but some are too salty and not presentable. The service is really slow if you re ever hungry. The ice cream in needs to be more creamier and needs to be colder. The mixed drinks are way too sweet and terribly mixed. The place is a little run down and needs a better maintenance guy. Very poor on that. Our room smells musty, mold build up and paint in the bathtub. The bathtub jacuzzi is old and not to use and is in the middle of the room. This is hopefully get the manager to take a better look at the details. With Everything else we still had a great time.

Never again
Booked Hideaway at Royalton Negril, room smells very moldy, it‘s just disgusting and very bad for my allergy. I told them I want another room, they told me ok. I was waiting the whole day, nothing happend, I‘ve been told it‘s still in progress. Nothing happend. They cleaned it but that didn‘t change anything, because mold is mold. Don‘t book it! It‘s room 8209.

Fun activities at Royalton Diamond Club
Water aerobics was excellent. Instructor Kavi was fun and erergetic.. vibe team Was great also they made a great team. DJ Katie was great with the music selection, Strapp was also great with the encouragement and getting everyone in the pool. My son who’s 7 also participated and he had fun during the class. I recommend this to be a family event if you’re at the Royalton Diamond club.

Aerobic with Royalton Fit
Best people ever come again next year thank you to the Royalton Fitness Team for such a great water aerobics session the host Kavi did q great job, Katie for the great upbeat music and Nashane for his vibe and keeping us upbeat. I recommend the pool exercises to everyone, just try to keep active on your vacation it helps your body to relax especially if you're with aches and pain it's like a free physiotherapy session. I enjoyed every moment of it

Royalton Negril April 2025
Just spent 7 great days at the Royalton Negril. Overall a very great resort and in our opinion, the bets one along Bloody Bay. Disappointment to begin the trip: Our trip got off to a suspect beginning, but improved as the week progressed. With some flight and traffic issues, we arrived after 8pm and one of our families did not have accommodations ready for them. When their room was finally ready, there was a leak in the ceiling that needed to be addressed. The service guy said he did what he could for now and left a towel on the floor to absorb the dripping. After much hassle and managerial meetings, they were transferred to a nicer room and the managers set them up with a stocked bar and fridge. Great job to accommodate, but it took them too long. FOOD: Get the app to arrange for dinner reservations (opens 12am) Buffet Breakfast never disappointed. The omelet makers, crepe maker (very sweet lady that I did not get her name), and the mimosa staff were all enjoyable. While there were great highlights, the first few nights were a disappointment. Hunter Steakhouse and Zen were not up to the standards of what we experienced the other Royalton Resorts we have stayed at. The best steak of the entire week was at Armadillo, all of our boys killed their meals! Calypso was enjoyed by the adults (coconut crusted snapper is amazing), but the high school kids were less than impressed. We all really enjoyed the Grazie Italian restaurant (killer apps, best lasagna ever) and dined there the last two evenings of our trip. The Sports bar had good food, but the server was slammed and it took some time. The bartender at the Sports Bar seemed to not want to be there and her service and attitude showed. I saw her later in the week and she still had a scowl. One of the best things about this resort is the food available around the pool (beach adjacent). The Jerk Hut, Food Truck, and Grazie Pizza were all fantastic. Not having to put on a shirt for an afternoon meal/snack was a definitive plus. This was a huge win for us! POOL: We mostly enjoyed the pool area. Not many loungers/umbrellas and these were typically full by 7am. I do not mind being up early, but there was frustration for those arriving after 8am. The pool activities were really fun and the staff works really hard. FOAM PARTY is a must do, kayaks with treats, trivia, music, water aerobics (Alpha was the ladies favorite), etc. was all well received and fun to partake in or just observe. STAFF: Prior to leaving for vacation, I had read where many of the staff were rude and not engaging. I am happy to note that we did not encounter this, other than the one bartender already mentioned. If you are willing to engage them, they will happily chat with you. Some shout-outs to our favorites: Pool area: Neckola (our Hummingbird Empress picture included), Sweet Pea and Danielle (Especial Danielle is tasty) at the Pool Bar, Olando, Trace, and the other pool staff were all helpful and engaging. Bars: Shantelle was always smiling and ready to provide more liquid refreshments at the Sand Bar. Dips bar had a favorite bartenders Richard (Mango Martinis and his Hulk drink), Avril (Jamaican Special). Overall a great trip with great friends. FYI: The ride from Montego Bay is about 1 hour 40 minutes in good traffic.
