    Guests may choose from 10 a la carte and buffet restaurants, a cafe, as well as 24-hour room service.  One a la carte restaurant is exclusively for Hideaway guests.

    Unlimited, reservation-free a la carte dining includes a Japanese Teppanyaki and Sushi Bar, an authentic Italian trattoria, Mexican and steak restaurants.  On any day you please, unwind with a mid-afternoon coffee and exquisite dessert at the cafe.

    Mostly great...

    Pool bar is the best! Diego, Elvis, Miguel are super fun! Dinner is a struggle. Reservations on the app are so limited even if you go on at midnight. Food is average. Staff is friendly!! Rooms are clean. Entertainment each night is also good... would recommend if you're not a big foodie.

    Third time's a charm

    This was our third visit (2019, 2024 and 2025) and we really enjoyed our stay. We traveled from March 24-31 and caught the tail end of Spring Break. The resort did not feel full and we got chairs everyday by the splash pool. Food: we enjoyed every meal - my kids loved the steakhouse and have been asking for filet's everyday since we've been home. Jesus at Hunter's was very accomodating to our children who were quite tired. The servers were hustling and the service was always amazing. The buffet had lots to offer and the lines for fresh cooked eggs each morning moved very fast. Room service took a while but the app always quoted correctly so we knew what to expect. Nibbles was great but often ran out of ketchup - they should look into getting a dispenser vs. small packages. Room: we had a 3rd floor room in building 8 - 1 bedroom presidential suite. The room was recently refreshed and it was very nice. The layout of this room is what keeps us coming back - it is very convenient for our family. Service: Ramiro (I think) by the splash pool offered 10/10 service everyday. This was a major improvement over our last stay. Kids club: The girls at the kids club are great. They have patience and are great with the kids. I wish the resort would improve the kids club schedule - we visited planet hollywood in 2023 and their offering was 100x better. Excursions: we booked an excursion through Fernando Lopez (Royalton Excursions) directly in the lobby. He was quick to answer our questions and offered us a great price on Xel-Ha. He offered his WhatsApp which allowed me to ask questions without chewing into our vacation time which was much appreciated. After we booked, my son wasnt feeling great and he was able to switch the day for us with no issues. We had an amazing day at Xel-Ha. Notable improvements: - the app is a huge benefit for this resort. We could make reservations for 2 days in advance with ease and not have to worry about lines. We requested an extra minibar restock each evening and they usually came within 20 minutes. -They are constantly adding new features (ex. a new food truck was being installed by nibbles, pizza by the Royalton pool etc.) - check in: while check in took a bit longer, I appreciated the pager so that we didn't have to stand in line. Others: -While waiting for check in, we got stopped by one of the time share folks. We did not want to attend a presentation and after a firm "your wasting your time, we are not interested" we were left alone for the week. -The smell in the buffet when walking in can be off putting. I hope this is addressed soon. I am excited to see what the 5 month closure later this year will add to the resort. We will likely return in the future!

    Not a Great Resort

    Too much BS with having to request anything. Not limited too, but including, check-in and check-out, butler service, dining reservations, cabanas, and other simple things. The food was ok. The drinks were ok. The service was ok at best. I would not recommend.

    Amazing

    Luis is the best waiter I've met. He took care of us. Always on time. Works hard. Impressed. Luis my whole experience at the Martini bar at the Royal. The lemon drops are mucho bueno. Luis makes the whole night incredible and he is the best. Perfect customer service.

    we got drinks and had a great time!

    Rogelin and Julio and Alejandro are very good bartenders. They served very good drinks and did a very good job of serving us. Im very glad that I got to meet both of these people and they do a very good job. They are at martini bar and are great!!!!
