Breakfast was superb ...big shout to Seini who was our server for breakfast... and for dinner we went to Nuku..it was amazing..the portions were huge and big kudos to Coolio who went above and beyond to make sure that we were served like royals 😀 ❣️

Hilton and staff
The staff and cleaning of this resort is on point they’re absolutely amazing. Everyday came back to spotless rooms and staff always friendly to us all. Big thank you to everyone and you made our stay even more enjoyable not having to stress about our rooms being a mess

Jan 18, 2025Hilton Fiji - Hotel of Horrors 2025
This was a really disappointing and frustrating stay. The service and food in every restaurant was extremely poor and below a reasonable, acceptable standard. I would say 3 stars but paying for a 5 star hotel. This was my 3rd return to the Hilton after a long time and it’s really worse than before. I’ve stayed at many of the Denarau resorts and I can safely say I will never return to this hotel ever again. Wait times in every restaurant, including room service were beyond reasonable, exceeding 1 hour for simple meals off menu (kids mini sliders) - breakfast eggs, a stir fry dish and 3 entree dishes. The one cocktail I ordered was heavily mixed and undrinkable. Safer to order wine. More importantly, the food is dreadful, it lacks subtlety, heavy handed, heavily fried, seafood always curried (such a shame) and food to the room soggy and cold. Eating became a chore and the deli became my go-to as i could see what i was getting and walk away with it or eat on site in a reasonable time frame. Noisy gardening with leaf blowers first thing in the morning and intrusive house keeping routines that make sleeping in impossible. There are no room signs offered - “no disturb” signs to fend off housekeeping either. The phone through to the restaurant, concierge and housekeeping often didn’t work due to over load. This was frustrating. Hotel was not at full occupancy. Check your bill carefully, i had 4 versions printed until it was accurate. The conference stayers destroyed the peace and partied noisily in rooms until 3.30am and I had to knock on the door opposite us to tell them to shut the noise down. There is nothing pleasant or rewarding having to wrangle logistics on your family holiday. Just stay away from this hotel it does not reflect what Hilton hotels have built their brand on globally. There is abundant choice on Denarau and on the Coral Coast, the intercontinental is superb. Just vote with your feet here and don’t ruin your hard earned holiday by staying here.

Positives- (we went in “off peak season/wet season”) +lots of pools with plenty of deck chairs, pools were large and never felt crowded +rooms were spacious and luxurious with the bathtub (but see below negative relating to bath) +close to airport (20 minute drive) +showers were good, good water pressure +nightly live music at Koro (adults only area) was good +beds were comfortable but might be too soft for people +Koro (adults only section) was my favourite place. Had its own restaurant. Didn’t have to go to the other areas of the resort +deli (pies and pastries- yum! But coffee bad) +Bula bus within the resort and buggy service was handy and fun +the speciality restaurant (Maravu) was delicious! (Asian food) +food at the main restaurant (Nuku) was good Negatives- -Wifi was only free in the public areas. To access it in your room it was $9.95FJ a day. This is supposed to be a luxury resort, you would expect free at a minimum -expensive foods/drinks (but this is at all resorts) -resort is very large, over 2km long so if you are at one end, and you want to go to the other, you have to walk or get the Bula bus (internal) or buggy. I also noticed that some families were staying near the adults only section which was very far away from the family/main section. Wouldn’t it be easier to place families near the main area and couples near the adults only area? -bathroom was open style so there were frosted sliding doors that you could open and close to section off the bathroom. They had no locks on them. There was a frosted sliding door that covers either the shower or toilet, not both at once. This also did not lock and did not cover the toilet fully (see image) so awkward if you’re there with a friend. There was not much storage eg in the shower and the towel rail was so far away from the shower and nowhere to hang hand towel. The bathtub looked great but was unusable. The water pressure was so low it would have taken hours to fill and the water wasn’t hot so it would’ve been a cold bath -room needed maintenance, eg balcony light not working. Other light switches not working, broken or cracked tiles etc -beach not as nice as coral coast -lobby not comparable to other resorts -Koro restaurant food- my steak was overdone (asked for it to be rare, wasn’t even medium rare), asked for tap water, got bottled instead and got charged -activities. We were there for 4 days and there were no activities at Koro (adults only area) despite there being an activities board up stating the activities for the day. We did notice aqua aerobics at the main pool -on the second day our charges to our room got blocked. Had to go all the way to the lobby for them to tell us they didn’t activate our account at check in so they needed to fix that -cocktails were not nice. I tried several and never found one I liked. They all tasted terrible -the dead lock/security lock on our room door was faulty/didn’t work so we couldn’t lock the door from the inside and one of the days staff came barging in (they did knock and announce but didn’t give us time to answer). Thankfully we were decent -Nuku (main) restaurant service was poor

Perfect stay for young family
We stayed for a week with our 8-month-old son in a guest room with separate lounge (room 112). Highly recommend this room if you are travelling with an infant, having his portacot in the bedroom meant we could hang out in the lounge or on the terrace during naps and after bedtime. The kitchenette and laundry were also welcome amenities for bottle prep and washing. The room was about 30 steps from the main pool and Nuku where we enjoyed breakfast every day. Koro and Maravu are also nice dinner options and are open early for a pre-bedtime meal. Staff across the resort were so kind and attentive. Our only downsides were the prices are quite high across the various restaurants and that wifi is not free in your room (it is free at the restaurants/pool/lobby which we could sometimes reach on our terrace). However this is not a reflection on the wonderful local staff and more a comment on Hilton’s corporate policies.
