Absolutely Magical
We just returned from Hilton Moorea and absolutely loved our stay. The location is stunning, but what really made it special for us was the snorkeling right from the villa. The amount of coral and fish is incredible — colorful, healthy, and everywhere you look. One morning we even saw eagle rays, which was unforgettable. We’ve stayed at several resorts in Bora Bora, and honestly, we enjoyed the snorkeling here even more. The lagoon is calm and clear, perfect for spending hours in the water without needing any excursions. It felt relaxed and connected to nature rather than overproduced. The service deserves special mention. It wasn’t stiff or scripted — it felt genuine. Everyone was kind and welcoming, but Oline at the front desk truly made our stay special. She remembered us, helped with little details, and made us feel like guests, not room numbers. Those small moments really mattered and turned this into a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us. If I had to mention one small downside, the room is a bit dated — but it was very clean, comfortable, and didn’t take away from the experience at all. We would happily return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hilton Moorea, especially if you love ocean and a more authentic island feel.

Disappointing: bird poop, cockroach, and management attitude
Spent 4 nights here, booked the highest category room: King Premium Panoramic OBW. When you look at the resort picture our room was left branch, you'll see a large deck at the end, our room was next to it on the side that faces the center branch of OWB. DO NOT STAY IN THIS ROOM! If you're put here, ask to move immediately. Birds hang out on the public deck and poop in the water and on your room deck all day long. Poor house keeping came out multiple times a day to power wash the deck. Additionally, people hang out on the deck and will literally look at you on your room deck and try to talk to you. We paid for a private room and basically got the worst one in this category. Any other room would have been better and what was most frustrating what the apathetic and unapologetic response from management. We spoke with them twice and only got their attention when we had to kill a cockroach in our room on the second night and say it loudly in the lobby the next day. The first response was to move us to a room by the Creperie and no refund in the difference in category rates. We said no to that, it was a pitiful and poor attempt to resolve the issue. What they should have offered was to move us to the other side of the walkway. Same category, same snorkeling from the room, and no bird poop. The pool and beach staff did their best, but they appeared understaffed. The Hilton uses 'cards' for towels and will charge you if you don't turn them in when checking out, totally classless. Also, only 1 towel per person/card. Seriously. What kind of resort is this? The house keeping is a gem and did an excellent job. Ridiculous was mini frig restocking staff and us trying to receive 2 cans of juice, as we don't drink soda. Restock is included and some reactions it was like we were asking to steal furniture. They give you large plastic bottles for water, with stations around the resort, the tap water is not drinkable, even for brushing teeth. The food is okay. Breakfast buffet is a bit overpriced, but had a good selection of fresh fruit. Often had to bus our own plates at breakfast. Here they have water available. Lunch was decent, would recommend the poke bowl. Bring your water bottle or you'll get charged for water, which feels like a waste. HH is a nice offer, but the drinks barely had alcohol (we watched the pours and laughed). I'd recommend stopping at a grocery/liquor store prior to check in. Dinner is annoying. The hotel closes all the restaurants when they have a buffet dinner, which is half the week! We ate at Rudy's and highly recommend a visit there! Email them directly a couple weeks prior for a reservation, they'll pick/drop off at the hotel for free. Rudy's will email you with details a day or two prior. What did we like at the Hilton? The snorkeling around the resort is pretty amazing. Saw a large variety of fish, rays, eel, and sharks. I wish the experience at Hilton had been better, because the snorkeling would be a reason to come back to Moorea. The pool was nice and clean, just avoid the loungers by the restroom. If you stay here, maybe you'll have a better experience. Please avoid our room at all costs.

Exceptional stay in Paradise
Imagine: warm ocean, overwater bungalows, the hotel’s own coral reef with exotic fish and stingrays, excellent food, free snorkeling gear and kayaking, and amazing personnel. I don't know, maybe we were too lucky, but I genuinely cannot find a negative point during our stay. Alright, perhaps too pricy, but you kinda feel like you are paying for what you're getting. We visited with a family of four. Lived in a bungalow suite - which was very clean, spacious, with a refilling bar and personal pool.
