This vacation was a dream come true! We went in the rainy season but the staff still made sure we had an excellent time! We were on our honeymoon (my husband also celebrated his birthday in the same trip) and the staff made it so special! Special shout out to Jacques who works as a server and was SO funny and fun! He definitely made our experience! The Hilton is the place to go no matter the time of year!

Jan 19, 2026Dated resort offers excellent service and amazing fish viewing.
If you are looking for pristine room decor, this may not be the place for you. HOWEVER, if you want exceptional service and amazing fish viewing - this is it!! This resort is very dated with peeling wallpaper, rotting decking wood and cracked sinks, at least in the over-the-water bungalow where we stayed. The fish viewing window on our floor was SPECTACULAR, along with watching the spotted eagle rays and black fin reef sharks swimming, well, right outside our door!!! Overall, the room was very comfortable, but like I said, if you are looking for perfection, you will be disappointed. Additionally, your room will not be available until 2pm, so if you arrive early, pack swim trunks in your carry-on and hit the resort's beach where you may meet Mr. T. This is where the exceptional service comes in. If you are fortunate enough to meet Mr. T, he will take care of your hydration needs (I'm talking an amazing mango mai tai) and is full of great advice on where to go and what to see on Moorea. Mr. T. is the quintessential host and we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with him.

Absolutely Magical
We just returned from Hilton Moorea and absolutely loved our stay. The location is stunning, but what really made it special for us was the snorkeling right from the villa. The amount of coral and fish is incredible — colorful, healthy, and everywhere you look. One morning we even saw eagle rays, which was unforgettable. We’ve stayed at several resorts in Bora Bora, and honestly, we enjoyed the snorkeling here even more. The lagoon is calm and clear, perfect for spending hours in the water without needing any excursions. It felt relaxed and connected to nature rather than overproduced. The service deserves special mention. It wasn’t stiff or scripted — it felt genuine. Everyone was kind and welcoming, but Oline at the front desk truly made our stay special. She remembered us, helped with little details, and made us feel like guests, not room numbers. Those small moments really mattered and turned this into a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us. If I had to mention one small downside, the room is a bit dated — but it was very clean, comfortable, and didn’t take away from the experience at all. We would happily return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hilton Moorea, especially if you love ocean and a more authentic island feel.
