Run down hotel with rude incompetent staff
We are awoken by loud banging on our door by a drunk man staying in the room next door. When I opened the door to let him know he had the wrong room he mumbled something laughed and walked away. 5 minutes later he came back with a vengeance literally kicking our door in. I called down to security and they came and removed him at which time the man threatened to come back for me. I know longer felt safe especially with my underage nephew in the room who was hysterically crying. When I called down to the front desk to let them know I did not feel safe remaining in that room the guy who answered said I could leave the hotel if I didn’t feel safe. All I wanted was to change rooms in case he came back which the next morning I found out he did. I dealt with the two most incompetent hotel managers/staff (Nigel & Christine) I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Every excuse under the sun as to why I couldn’t change rooms or be given a refund for the lack of empathy and safety of myself and my nephew. I was awake all night worrying he would return and trying to calm my nephew down. To boot the hotel itself was run down, had two out of 3 elevators out of service and had bar rags propping open side doors so that anyone can enter at anytime. This was the furthest thing from a pleasant hotel experience with such a lack of customer service. Isn’t a hotels priority safety or it’s guests?

The hotel didn’t finish repairs before re-opening.
The hotel was damaged during the 2024 hurricane season and apparently re-opened too soon. Fixtures hanging by wiring from the ceiling. Elevator was water damaged. Ceilings in the bathroom had mold and leaked from the room above. They charge you gratuity in advance for amenities, but offer nothing. The restaurant singer played the same set 3 nights in a row. I knew it was 8:00 pm when Chicken Fried was being played.

Well we must be easily pleased
As the subject title says we found nothing wrong with our stay here apart from some of the staff in Jimmy's restaurant needing to light up and greet the customer as if they are glad to see us. The room was 1st class, cleanliness was not a problem. The coffee machine worked for a few days and packed up but was quickly replaced. The idea of leaving your cases in a secure room on your last day enabled us to go sailing and lounge around the pool before making our way to Tampa. Yes,maybe we are easily pleased but understand that the staff are working hard to replace items ravaged by the storms and doing it as not to inconvenience the customer.

Not again
My reserved AirBNB cancelled a few weeks before my trip and this was my best option. Booked a suite online with no difficulties. Arrived a little early and it was ready. Disappointed to see one of two lobby elevators in service (Apparently it was same way the week before per previous traveler review). Found another back elevator however that was quickly broken too. Room was OK, definitely dated and furniture worn in places. Scraps on paint high on walls, have no idea what that could have been. Doors not real sturdy obviously hasn't been updated for a long time and was tired. No water pressure however did get water heads replaced and that was solved. Not sure what the resort fee of $34/day was for. Pool was nice and clean. The website lists fitness center which is need of updates and a general cleaning; no family fun center or business center as advertised on web site. I understand things may not be back to normal still however to continue to list available areas of hotel on website when they are not are misleading. The hotel lists it to be 100% smoke free however an ashtray on our balcony as well as constant smoke as soon as you step out front. Would recommend with hesitation and not return.

Very relaxing long weekend getaway
Let me start by saying that before we came we had a few issues and concerns that were professionally and kindly dealt with by Angie, a manager at the hotel. Thank you, Angie! Everything that we needed was right there - a gorgeous view of the Gulf and sunset, the nice size heated pool for swimming, the tiki bar with great drinks, and the restaurant right there with good food and service. We found everything to be clean and well kept. Our room was newly renovated with wonderful bed linens and an array of pillows. My only detraction was the king bed was a little too soft. The location was very good with walkable beaches, stores, and restaurants right nearby with no need of a car. I would definitely stay here again.
