Great place to stay. Room staff was good. Breakfast , lunch and dinner were good. Bar staff was good as well. Staff was amazing. Food and beverages were good. Jesus Magaña at the snack bar was friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back! Definitely recommend holiday inn

Feb 04, 2025Will go back to Ixtapa, but not the Holiday Inn
First time staying at the holiday inn ixtapa, but have stayed in ixtapa numerous times. Giving a 3 out of 5 stars seems a bit generous, due to the quality/variety of the food, and the overcrowded amount of kids(there is no place for adults only in the pool and numerous times infants and small kids were in the swim up bar area). The staff is friendly and helpful, we upgraded to an oceanfront room that was worth it for the access to the beach and away from the chaos. Beach was terrific, were able to get in the ocean most days, a few the waves were too big. Went across the road to the shopping/dining plaza, Shorties is always good food and friendly, El Faro on the hill is a great view, but the food was not up to its usually great level. Personally would not recommend the holiday inn ixtapa to others due to the seemingly overbooked and everthing being crowded all day, and each meal. It was even more crowded on the weekends, and we were not there on a holiday or special time. Thought we did enough info gathering beforehand but this was not the experience we were expecting.

Returning from Minnesota
We have been here for many years. This year has been amazing. The food was definitely better than previous years and the staff more attentive than before. The staff have been so kind, helpful, and remember us year after year by the drinks we drink and our name. We feel like we are here with our friends and family!

The staff is amazing, always friendly and welcoming, and they remember us from year to year. The ala cart restaurant was excellent every time, only complaint was the menu never changed at the little lunch restaurant. All fish every day except for one ham and cheese sandwich. Hugo and Jesse made all the activities fun for everyone and we especially loved volleyball and the bike tours (except for the hard seats). Ixtapa feels like a very safe place so we are comfortable venturing out. The holiday inn is great for all ages, we love seeing the families enjoying themselves - lots of kids!

Excellent resort!
Beds, pillows are great, as was food and drinks. Weather is great every day. Cleanliness is noted in throughout resort and rooms. Staff is friendly as well as front desk. Bar staff are very accommodating as well. Good place for relaxation and fun. The young children have a blast in the pool, sleeping good at night. We will definitely come again, been here several times and is always great.
