Perfect Airport Hotel
Very close to the airport. We chose this hotel for our arrival and it was so comfortable that we chose to cancel our departure booking to stay here again for ou departure night. High praise. Large well furnished rooms with comfortable bed, working A/C, showers, and elevators. The outdoor pool and the bar were a welcome feature.

Complaint case 73019531945469, complaint to expedia Ahmed and Himanshu B and the manager of Holiday Inn Israel Garcia
Expedia and Holiday Inn Puerto Vallarta: Lack of transparency and unfair treatment of its customers On January 28, 2025, I made a reservation on Expedia to stay at the Holiday Inn Puerto Vallarta. When booking, the information on the platform was unclear regarding the form of payment. I saw that they mentioned the interest-free months option (MSI) and assumed that I could choose that alternative when arriving at the hotel or within the app. When I saw that I had been charged the full amount in a single exhibit, I tried to cancel the reservation for the sole purpose of rebooking and choosing MSI, without losing the room. To my surprise, Expedia rejected my request and left me without the reservation and without my money. I contacted their customer service immediately, explaining what happened and making it clear that I never wanted to cancel my stay, I just needed to modify the payment method. However, neither Expedia nor Holiday Inn showed the slightest empathy. Lack of empathy and absurd solutions I explained my situation with complete transparency, shared details of my personal and financial context so that they would understand the urgency of finding a viable solution. His response was completely indifferent. Instead of looking for a reasonable alternative, I was simply denied stay and kept my money. To top it off, I was offered a 500 peso coupon as "compensation," which seemed like a total mockery. In 2025, 500 pesos is nothing compared to the more than 7,000 pesos I was charged without the right to a room. Expedia prioritizes hotel interests over customers After this bad experience, I researched more about Expedia and found that there are many similar complaints on the internet. It seems to be a common practice of this platform to leave customers without any protection in cases of disputes with hotels. Its policy clearly favours establishments, leaving users completely vulnerable to fraud and malpractice. Holiday Inn Puerto Vallarta, meanwhile, was also completely indifferent and did nothing to help me. They didn’t mind that Expedia was withholding my money without allowing me to use the room, nor did they mind offering me any support. If this is the treatment you give your customers, imagine what you can do with other guests. Deceptive conditions and abusive policies Expedia is not transparent with its policies, causing confusion and unfair situations like the one that happened to me. It is not clear how and when the charge will be made, or what options are available to modify it, which can lead to significant economic losses to customers. This problem not only affected my travel plans, but also generated a very large economic impact, leaving me without the possibility to reorganize my plans or recover my money fairly. Conclusion: DO NOT USE EXPEDIA After this ordeal, I do not recommend Expedia or Holiday Inn Puerto Vallarta. The lack of transparency in their policies, poor customer support and abusive handling of cancellations make this platform a real danger to travelers. If you’re considering booking with Expedia, think twice before entrusting them with your money. You can end up losing it with no right to anything, like it happened to me. WATCH OUT! On social media I am already uploading the video of the complaint

Good hotel for a few days
The price of this hotel is slightly lower because it is not on the beach, but a 5min walk takes you to the cozy harbor. Very good beds and air conditioning. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but the Happy hour from 12 to 22h made up for a lot! Located very close to the airport, but one hears absolutely nothing of this

Wonderful stay, Thank you 😊 🙏 ☺️
The hotel and rooms were very clean. There was a huge shower and smart TV that my phone could connect to, and bottled water was provided daily. We stayed here for almost 1 1/2 months. It was great because it was one of the few hotels with a fridge in our room. The staff were very friendly and treated us very well. The pool and jacuzzi, honestly, were okay. We loved that a bar and restaurant were located on the patio with them. Sadly, often, the jacuzzi did not work, and we would have greatly appreciated the pool and jacuzzi cleaned more often... The food in the restaurant was great. Thank you to the Manager Oscar 🙏 he always made sure our needs were met, and he was very friendly and helpful. We never got sick of the food and, truthfully the menu items were cheaper than anywhere else in the Marina area. The morning breakfast buffet was great, and they let you order your eggs/omelettes fresh. The location was good. Unfortunately, there is an area on the side that was once a car dealership that is in ruin and has yet to be cleaned up. That was our view from the room. We were able to see a resident crocodile from our room. He lived in the water behind the hotel and would appear on land to sun himself every couple of days. We think he was stuck there with the surrounding fence. However, it wouldn't hurt to be cautious while walking in the area. There is also a big highway right in front of the hotel. It's convenient for getting places by UBER. However, there is a bit of a nightmare involved when trying to cross it. The Marina is located directly across the street as well as the golf course, and there are no pedestrian signs on the lights at the crosswalk. There is also a hospital/medical centre next door for those who may need their services. All in all, it was a lovely stay. Thank you to everyone, and we hope to return soon 🙏

Very New and Clean: Perfect for one night stay near the airport
Hotel very close to the airport but a complicated walk. Taxis are cheap (about $10 if you use the overpass footbridge for unofficial cabs, $20 with "authorized" on-airport cabs). Hotel does not offer a shuttle. Upon check-in, we were upgraded thanks to my IHG status to Room 701, a beautiful end of hallway suite with a commanding view of the golf course and surrounding area. The wall to almost-ceiling windows of the corner room had views in two directions. The wall-to-ceiling curtains were electric, sensitive to the touch as well as a wall-mounted switch. It felt very pampering. The room was divided in half with a king bed facing the harbor and city to the south. The other half of the divided room had a sofa/couch (not very comfortable) facing a large screen TV. Sharing the wall with the TV (only CNN International is in English) is a kitchenette with microwave, mini refrigerator, coffeemaker (one cup size), small sink, and one bottled water. Plates, cups, and silverware for 2 were in the cabinet. Wish we would have been provided more than one packet of regular coffee and one set of powdered creamers. Other than the sofa, there as only one other chair, a desk chair, so not a lot of places to sit. The narrow balcony ran the length of the room and had two plastic patio chairs and stylish table; it offered a lovely view of the golf course and pool area, though the the busy street below was noisy well into the night. The large bathroom area had an lovely oversized shower, double sinks, and a toilet behind frosted glass doors. The toilet paper was high quality scented, a nice touch. Dove toiletry products in bulk sized dispensers, very nice fragrance. Wish we were provided more than the bare minimum number of towels. The A/C and lighting were very good. The only inconvenience was the lack of outlets or table on one side of the king bed. The building appears very modern with the latest in energy saving devices. We had lunch by the pool in mid afternoon and it look over half an hour for the food to be delivered. The staff are super nice and friendly by the pool snack bar but she seemed confused as to how to charge it to the room (language issues?) so we paid with a credit card instead. At check-in the friendly clerk asked if we wanted to prepay for the breakfast buffet, which was 209 pesos each and we said yes. It was ok but nothing special except for the made-to-order omelets. Also at check-in, we were given a card "good for a drink and a snack" due to our IHG status but when we inquired at the pool bar and at the restaurant, we were told it was EITHER one or the other. We opted for a can of Coca Cola as we were told it had to be non-alcoholic. I recommend you redeem it at the gift shop where there is a wider selection and the clerk may be more familiar with how the card works. There is a large grocery store called Mega Soriano in a shopping center about 7 minutes walk across the wide, busy street (though there are crosswalks at the traffic lights). One final tip: the air-conditioned exercise room is well equipped and was being used each time I visited. There is filtered water there for refilling our water bottle. If you need a one night stay, this is a great option with everything you need in house. For a longer stay, suggest you go closer to the ocean where there are more places to walk and more amenities nearby.
