Birthday get away
Ventus Ha was our resort. What a great birthday surprise for both BFF and I. even all the other birthdays in November Lots of chocolate and balloons catered by David and Marcelino our butlers (mayordomo in spanish) . they were sooo accommodating too all their assigned vacationers. Our concierge Christina and her Staff were on top of everything and so attentive to everyone in their group. The beach sand area was less, but the waters were free of seaweed as the season is off I guess. the farewell bash @ the KOBO was funny and the food was delish. ALL the cooks gave a show while preparing the meals and it it made it fun. Popul Vu dinner show was amazing and if like me who gets wowed by any little thing you'll get a kick out of it. lots of food and a magic show. this vacation was pretty exciting and even though I can't swim I was able to participate in the Dona Elvira Cenote water where you jump off the small cliff into the cenote, natural sink hole, ( I did not jump I walked in, lol)....overall, I love this resort.

5 Star resort with awesome butlers and staff
We had two awesome butlers, Alma Mayordomo and Luis Diaz. They went out of their way to keep us informed, make reservations for us, get us transportation when we needed it and are both very dear individuals. When we return, we will ask for them. We consider them dear friends at this point. This is a lovely resort with lots of special people that look forward to seeing each year. Tomas on the beach and Rooster at Pronation are also very special

Great Time
Rooms were nice and clean. Grounds were beautiful kept. Pools were all clean and refreshing. Food choices were plenty and all was very delicious. Wait staff were always around ready to help or get you drinks or remove unwanted plates. Will be going again, hopefully sooner than later.

Wonderful trip to Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort
Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort is a wonderful place to stay, relax and enjoy great food. We stayed for a week in October and we will be looking to return in the future. When staying at Hotel Marina El Cid you can use the restaurants and amenities at the connected El Cid resorts. This is a nice perk and gives you access to 6 pools as well The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. We upgraded to a platinum room with an ocean view, use of the butler team of Ivan and Cali who provided awesome service. They booked our restaurants, took care of any requests we had, would let us know what the daily entertainment and activities were and were around to say hi each day and make us feel like we were one of their top priorities Housekeeping does a great job keeping the rooms clean and it occurs everyday normally twice a day Another nice perk is the hotel is extremely close to the beach. It is literally a 1-2 minute walk to the beach from most rooms. The beach is nice but it has some barriers built in so its not as great as some others we have been to The daily entertainment was excellent. There were different theme nights. The Disney and hit music nights were awesome The amenities: Kayaks, water slides and cliff jumping at the main pool, 2 beach side infinity pools, free daily guide led bike trip into Puerto Morelos which was very enjoyable, make sure to grab some souvenirs or food at the Chedraui supermarket and there are daily pool activities The restaurants: The main buffet La Alhambra is great and the local Mexican food they make is top notch. They change parts of the menu every day so you can keep going back and not be bored. Some of the highlights are the tacos, fresh cooked to order meats, pasta, crepes, and assorted deserts Mercado De Dolores is a food court/buffet style area open for lunch with many choices to eat all of which were great For the sit down restaurants Hacienda Arrecife(Mexican), Kobo (teppanyaki), and A'akat Ibero-American were excellent Aroma's cafe is an excellent spot to get a coffee, tea, hot chocolate, lattes and other hot/cold drinks. It also has fresh pastries, ice cream, jello/parfaits, and sandwiches. It is open most of the day and is a nice place to sit and enjoy the day. This is great resort and we would recommend it
