Great place to visit
Excellent property in a perfect location for dining, architecture and the hotel staff was excellent. One of the nicest Hyatt properties we’ve stayed in and we will certainly return in the future The restaurants in the area were wonderful and we felt very safe at all times. Highly recommend this property

Disappoinitng one night stay
Stay somewhere else. Tired and dated. Paper-thin walls. Noisy most of the night, especially when you arrive at mid-night, ask simply for a quiet room, and they put you immediately across from the elevator. Staff at check in and check out was not all that friendly / competent. And, as to the high price /night, stay somewhere else.

Wonderful full service hotel in a great location in Coral Gables
We stayed in Coral Gables for a wedding in Feb 2025. We found the Hyatt Regency was perfect for our needs. It's a wonderful full service hotel with great location in Coral Gables. So close to lots of Coral Gables bars, restaurants and shopping all walkable. There is a little courtyard type street with restaurants and all have really cool outdoor seating as well as indoor seating all within 1 block from the hotel There was even live outdoor music one evening. The Miracle Mile Street is only a few short blocks away as well. The room we had was the King Bedroom with a balcony overlooking the pool on the 6th floor. We loved the room. Small but very well equipped and cleaning service was timely and thorough daily. I loved the modern shower. My only bathroom complaint is the bathroom sink drain was super slow. The lighted mirror was very nice to have. The room is nothing over the top but updated enough and had everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The hallways were quiet at night and we appreciated sitting outside on the balcony. We sat by the pool which had very nice loungers and umbrellas and tables. My only complaint was that it gets pretty warm out there and the pool bar/food service only is open on weekends starting on Fridays. They need an ice machine/ water cooler cups out there bare minimum. This is a full service hotel. They have the infused water at the check in desk, why not at the pool? There are no servers either. All in all great solid choice for Coral Gables.

Would be ok-ish at 100 bucks; price-value of this hotel is very bad
Rooms are in desperate need of an all-out refurbishment; old appliances, carpets and furniture; doorframes only painted superficially, airconditioning loud and outdated, and the doors got zero noise isolation. This has been my second stay at the hotel and I can rule out that I just had bad luck with the room assignment.

Suffer
I wish there is a negative rating to the review scheme. This is an incredibly outdated and poorly managed property. For three nights I used a suite upgrade reward, hoping for better living space. The first room 935 was a suite, a large space without having put thoughts to layout, furnishing or anything. The worst part is the overwhelming odor that seems to live on the carpet and draperies. Even the towel had a chemical residual smell to it. The second day I requested a room change which was accomodated. However, I had a chance to walk through a couple of suite before committing and realized that the odor is pervasive in this hotel. I ended with one that is less smelly and has a way to open the balcony door, even though it comes with the downside of directly above the corporate function area - noise went on for a long time. The breakfast is good in terms quality, but very lousy in terms of service, moody, uneven from one day to the other. I have genuinely hoped that Hyatt brand would install better hotels in Miami area instead of this type of drab hotels that is impossible to update, that the LED light in the room ranges from 2700K to 5000K under one ceiling, that there is no thought going into any quality that $499 can buy, and that the cushions on the sofa signals many previous guests' BO. Ugh. One more day.
