My experience was not ideal by any means. We were "upgraded" to a suite only to notice that our suite only had a queen murphy bed and instead of the king room we were given access to the double bed room next door. The hotel is dated and the staff will not go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. There are many Hyatt hotels that are much better in terms of experience.

Excellent location in downtown Miami, you can walk to the Kaseya center and Bayfront park. The rooms have sound machines, which are helpful. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Convenient to Metromover
Hotel is in a good location for taking the Metromover and within walking distance of restaurants. Staff was excellent. Other reviewers have mentioned hearing loud traffic sounds while in their rooms (true) but the hotel does provide a white noise machine.

Not living up to Hyatt Regency expectations
Location: great Atmosphere: good Rooms: bad need of upkeep/refurbishment Cleanliness: good Noise level: on the 24th floor, it sounded like we were on the street.

Jan 25, 2026Very dated hotel with smelly rooms
I had to book this hotel for a conference I went to across the street at the Kimpton. The lobby is nice but the rooms and rest of the hotel are very very dated and smell of this musky/febreeze cheap air freshener. It gave me a migraine and I had to leave and use Marriott points to stay across the street. They will also charge you a $25 early check in fee (really does Hyatt need twenty-five dollars..) if your room is ready prior to check in time. Very ghetto experience. If you travel alo t like me and want a decent hotel in Miami its not this one.
