Worst Hyatt I have experienced. Front desk people were cold and inconsiderate. To be fair, they were cleaning up flood water from a water-main break in the convention center next door. The water extraction process was loud and extensive. I was expecting an apology followed ed by a warm greeting. Instead we felt like we were just another imposition. This hotel was built in the 80’s and is not up to Hyatt Regency standards.

This old Hyatt Regency needs some TLC. Does not have soundproofed windows. The noise from the nearby street was deafening. Great physical location...the only good thing. Water in bathtub backed up after a shower. The tub is dangerous...very slippery and no handrails. Kureig coffee maker broken...spits out 1/5 of a cup. No microwave in room. Internet speed slow. Front desk forgot about us while we were waiting for a room. Only good interaction was bellman and valet staff. Restaurant food was good. If you are a Hyatt Regency fan, I would skip this one.

The location is amazing and the proximity to Briclell and/or Downtown are like no other property. However, this property is "tired" and showing more than it's age.

Poor standard hotel, room not ready till 4:30PM. Not even a bottle of water in the room, not what was expected in such a hotel

Nov 20, 2025Great Hotel for After our Cruise out of Miami!
Great location right on the water and close to the port. They had some construction going on in the lobby but that didn't bother us at all. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we were able to get in right away when we arrived, despite it being early in the morning. A great place to go before or after your cruise!
