This hotel is located in a great spot on the river, in the Brickell area of downtown with an adjacent conference center. Easy (15-20min) access to airport. Walking distance to lots of restaurants. Clean comfortable rooms and suites with views of the city and river from some. Friendly, attentive and responsive staff. Onsite restaurant is good for a quick bite and drinks. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel was gross. There was no bar soap in the room and when I asked for soap I was told they ran out. It was unusually cold and when I asked for an extra blanket it was grungy and thinner than a towel. My room was never cleaned. Don't stay at this hotel

Guest/Employee comfort and safety should be a priority.
Overall I would stay here again. Great service, except with the extreme cold temperatures for Miami for my 3 days. No attempt to warm the common areas for guests/employees (Lobby, Bar, Dining area,Front Desk). Everyone walking around inside with large coats to just enjoy downstairs.

Much like many have said, this hotel is not up to the standard of what I think of when I hear Hyatt Regency. While it's clear they've updated the lobby, that is where it ends. The rooms are very old and not well maintained. Towels frayed and with holes. Paint and wallpaper peeling, stained and scuffed furniture. The level of noise from the elevators required me to request a room change. The street level noise, even on the 21st floor was wild. They do put a noise machine and earplugs in every room. The exercise room is so small it's uncomfortable to be in there with multiple people. I did enjoy the small cafe that serves hot food and a variety of snacks. But there are very few tables, and the staff in the restaurant nearby gave us a hard time for wanting to sit at the tables, even though they weren't currently serving meals. Meaning we weren't taking tables from other customers. It's also odd that the restaurant closes at 11am, right as everyone is checking out. And doesn't open for another hour. So the cafe is the only place to get food, but there's no where to sit and eat for that hour. I travel quite a bit, and this was one of the more disappointing stays I've had. I most likely will not stay at another Hyatt. That being said, the staff is great. They are kind, and helpful. It feels like they truly want to make the guest experience enjoyable, but they are working with a situation that I am guess often puts them in uncomfortable situations with disappointed guests.
