New to Hyatt Inclusive Collection and Impressed!
I would like to preface this review by saying that I am an all inclusive girl. I've stayed at a decent amount of them around Cancun/Riviera Maya. That being said, i think that the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island is one of the best resorts that the area has to offer right now. I had never stayed at a property in the Hyatt Inclusive Collection prior to this stay. Now, i don't know if i can stay anywhere else! VALUE To my knowledge, the Vivid hotels in Hyatt's All Inclusive collection are going to be geared towards more casual, budget conscious travelers. The reality is that it feels like much more than that. The experience at Hyatt Vivid Grand Island felt so incredibly curated. AREAS THAT IMPRESSED ME The food at this resort is unlike anything you can get at other all-inclusives (in this price range) in Cancun. In my opinion, the italian restaurant and beach club serve the best food at this resort. Unlike other resorts, the room service is also reliable and palatable! I appreciate that they call to confirm your room service order and give an estimate on how long it will take. This resort has a fantastic method for making dinner reservations-- it is all done via an app! Even better, people can only make same-day reservations. This gives everyone a chance to get a good reservation. This resort is so uniquely designed! I love that its a high-rise style. It makes it so easy to get around and find things. The rooms are also beautifully decorated. The furniture and fixtures are brand new and show no wear-and-tear (trust me, this is a rarity in resorts in this price range.) The jetted tub in the Vantage Club rooms is also a very nice touch! The beach club is truly like nothing I have ever seen before. It is truly ethereal. Powdery sand, delicious food, beautiful views, crystal blue water-- just perfect! Finally, i was so impressed by how well-trained the employees are at this resort. They really do a great job at interacting with guests. That being said, i did see a slight decline in service on Thursday when more people began checking in for the weekend. It was minor things like forgetting to bring drinks and menu items, though. AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT First, this resort has the noisiest rooms that I have ever stayed in-- and I travel a fair bit. The entire resort is made of concrete; which, unfortunately, causes noise to carry. Someone walking down the hallway talking to a friend or someone in above you moving a chair is extremely audible from your room. I would 100% recommend avoiding the 11th floor if you are sensitive to noise as you have it coming from the rooftop restaurant/pool, hallways, and rooms below. Some form of soundproofing is definitely needed! Next, at the time of our stay, there were very little perks associated with Vantage Club. It seems like management planned to switch the rooftop pool to Vantage Club only at the beginning of November; but unfortunately, they backed down from this decision prior to our stay. As a result, the rooftop pool was jam-packed our entire stay. We were never able to get a chair up there. I'm glad to know that they are moving forward with making it Vantage Club only. Otherwise, there are very limited perks associated with the upgrade. Now, one thing that truly frustrated me during my stay was the beach club shuttle service. Unfortunately, it is rarely communicated to guests that there is no return shuttle available between certain afternoon hours. This left my fiance and I stranded at the beach club while I had a mild allergic reaction to some sort of bug bite/sting. We would have quickly taken a cab or Uber back had we known the shuttle wouldn't be available for an hour. I also noticed the shuttle departing from the resort/beach club off schedule on a few occasions. The location of this resort (off beach) makes it a hard sell to a lot of potential guests. An unreliable beach shuttle certainly doesn't help this. Finally, something that caught me off guard about this resort was the lack of evening entertainment. IS THIS RESORT FOR YOU? If you're someone looking for a short stay at an adults only resort with great food and even better service, then this resort is for you!

Perfect place to relax
Perfect place to relax not a big party resort if that's what you're looking for. The private beach is perfect not crowded, only open to hotel guest, great variety of restaurants. Wish the spa was in full service. Needs a little more entertainment.

The food was amazing!
This hotel has the best food in Cancun! Hyatt Vivid has been by far the best place I’ve stayed. I’ve been to other hotels and this one hit the spot so perfectly. It exceeded my expectations! The staff in all of the restaurants were amazing and super cheerful and fun! I can’t wait to go back with my family, once they finish the family section. The adult section was amazing and extremely relaxing! Thank you everyone in the Hyatt Vivid hotel for the amazing experience!

Not a single expectation was merely met; they were all exceeded.
Best all inclusive I've stayed in yet. Everyone was so helpful and very attentive. Only good experienced from the pools to the restaurant. We had a slight medical emergency at the end but even their doctor helped before their shift started. Like amazing variety: mexican, italian, mediterranean, and even japanese. We stayed 5 nights but didn't have time to experience everything. So much to do and so much variety. If you are staying here PLEASE carry cash to tip. I noticed lots of people are neglecting since the "only" have card. I was disheartened to see great service not rewarded by so many. They even have free shuttle service to a private beach club that has food and drinks included as well. The attention to detail is crazy. On a very windy day with huge waves at the beach the Life guard even stood at the shore to act as a line to how far its safe to approach the water.

Maybe a good hotel next year, but not today.
Check-in process was ridiculously slow. Room reservation category was not honored because they oversold their rooms. They came up with all types of excuses for not having the room we reserved. including that our room was not paid. Yet, they had our Hyatt credit card on file to guarantee. Rooms are spacious and modern. Room service has its own challenges. We ordered room service the first night for dinner, but a glass of wine could not be added to dinner order, but of security issues ??? So, after a long flight and long check in process, I had to go to the bar to get a glass of wine and bring up to the room to have with dinner. Defeats the purpose of room service. We had an early pickup the next morning at 7:45 am, so we tried placing a breakfast order the night before. Once again, we were disappointed. Room service opens at 7:00 am - which meant staff arrives at 7 and the earliest we could get coffee and breakfast would be 7:45-8:00 am. We wanted to place an I understand this is a new property for the Hyatt collection, I just don’t appreciate the learning curve at my expense.
