unfinished, not ready for guests?
The arrival and departure were interesting, the staff doesn't help with your bags if you arrive by taxi from another resort or leave by taxi to another resort. They only help with the airport transportation, run by their own company. I have not seen that at any other Hyatt. Quite a shock! The building is unfinished, everything smells like paint that is still drying. There is no interior decor, no color, it is grey, and it is the actually Christmas season now. The restaurants have no decor whatsoever, they are actually run likecafeterias. The food can be at times of such a poor quality I couldn't believe it. The "roasted beet salad, arugula and walnuts" at Aglio restaurant was absolutely the worst thing I put in my mouth in the entire year 2024, a year in which I visited 10 countries. Please remove it from the menu asap, have some compassion! It was like chewing paper. The "chicken mole" in their buffet comes close. For some reason, during lunch time, the buffet area is in a dense cloud of smoke, a result of burning food of poor ventilation? It must be a daily thing, we saw in two days in a row. The beach area (accessible via shuttle that takes only a limited number of passengers at a time) is very nice and so is the restaurant there, but they both need more staff and better cleaning. BTW, the staff in the property was welcoming and friendly (except at the restaurant front desks, where some of the ladies were extremely serious and unsmiling). I hope the management will improve the quality of the offerings. Construction noise from the neighboring property was our companion throughout our entire stay, well into 10pm.

Activities
Orlando was amazing, he took the time to make sure I was comfortable and knew where all the accommodations were. The activities were fun! I even got to play black jack. Thank you Orlando for such an amazing experience. I recommend this property.

Wonderful!
I had read very mixed reviews about the resort, but went in with a positive outlook and I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was near perfection! My cousin and I loved the layout of the resort. Our Vantage Club 11th floor bay view room was wonderful! We ate at almost every restaurant and they did not disappoint. The portions are smaller, which we appreciated and the flavors were on point. The pools were wonderful and there was never a chair game. The Beach Club is amazing! The views are spectacular and the service is wonderful. The Tuna Poke Nachos are the best. We are going to plan another visit to Hyatt Vivid Grand Island in 2025.

Excellent Service!
My husband and I have been traveling to the Cancun area for over twenty years, and the Hyatt Vivid Grande Island provided us with the best service we have ever experienced. From the restaurant waiters, the managers, and the Spa masseuses. Every staff member was incredibly hardworking and always had a smile on their face. We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing ten days. The food was excellent, and our room, 1402, was absolutely gorgeous; it was a Vantage Club corner suite—definitely worth the upgrade. We encountered a few challenges, but since it is a relatively new resort, they sincerely addressed the issues. Both my husband and I work in the hospitality industry, so we understand how these things can happen. Our favorite part of the resort was the rooftop pool. The pool concierges, Carlos and Victor, were incredibly attentive, and our waiter, Andrew, provided exceptional service. Thank you all for giving us an unforgettable experience. You make the Hyatt Vivid Grande one of the best resorts in Cancun. We truly appreciate everything! We look forward to seeing you again! The Sawyer’s
