Sun and Fun by the sea
We just spent a lovely week in the Iberostar Anthelia resort during a winter school break. The property seemed fully booked primarily by seniors (couples and groups) and families with young children. The good: The staff including at the reception, the entertainment team, and the kids club were so kind and welcoming - we sadly didn’t get everyone’s names but want to acknowledge Bruno, Laura, Andrea - and the VR experience and nightly shows were fun. Our rooms (interconnecting doubles with sea view) were comfortable and well appointed with huge, picturesque, and pleasantly shaded balconies. Service and food quality at the restaurants and bars generally speaking were great. Heated and kids pools were perfect (we didn’t try the others as they were cold for the kids this time of year). Ambiance, design, and cleanliness of the property were divine - from the moment you walk in, you immediately relax. The app was great at highlighting things to do at the hotel and in the area. Self service filtered water was a great alternative to bottled, wish more hotels considered this. Missed the mark (extremely minor but noting since this is a five star property): Service at Portofino was sometimes below par. Our room attendant overall did a terrific job but at times did not empty the full trash, replace used cups, or vacuum. The spa across the street felt far away, even with the underground tunnel to remain “on site”. Room service delivery and retrieval times seemed long also by hotel averages, however the food was tasty, the right temperature, and beautifully presented (great that the wagon doubled as a table). The bed frames tended to drift from the wall when we sat up to read or watch TV, even when wheels were locked. One of the rooms did not have a door between the bathroom and sleeping areas, creating limited privacy. Could consider: quick service cafe, food truck, or other takeaway option within the hotel (is helpful when you have kids or are very hungry), a playground or play structure that is not water based. Perhaps more waitstaff at Zeus during peak hours to keep up with demand (the ones there did great but seemed stretched). Some clearer maps in the app and on the property, as we initially had challenges finding our way around. A different system for pool towels than the tokens (perhaps place some in the room to exchange on request) The hotel is located in Costa Adeje near to great beaches, shops, and restaurants, but was far from cultural, nature, and active attractions we also wanted to try (except Siam park is nearby). We rented a car and did day trips around island, spending 1-2 hours on the road each day. This is not a complaint, but rather something to be aware of when considering hotels in Tenerife - Costa Adeje is recently developed with European tourists in mind, and ideal for travelers who want a low-key beach and luxury experience with familiarities of home. Those who want more action or authenticity may consider other parts of the island.

Perfect
Love everything about this hotel. The location is perfect with lovely views over the sea, the room was lovely and beautifully clean with plenty of storage and comfy bed and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and all top quality food. The staff are also a credit to this hotel, smiley and helpful in a professional yet friendly way. I could go on and on but to sum it up - just perfect!

Last Minute parallel universe!
Unusually for us we booked at short notice and took the one room on offer - a duplex suite with side sea views. This was definitely an upgrade for us having two floors and two complete shower rooms, allowing the luxury of a bathroom each. The suite was well equipped with a large tv on both floors, a balcony on each level, with a coffee maker and a kettle on the lower floor. On the hotel landing there was a water machine that dispensed unlimited filter and chilled water. We agree with other comments on the quality and professionalism of staff overall. There were usually plenty of staff available throughout the restaurant and they ensured crockery and replenishment for the food stations was continuous. However on two out of the ten days we stayed the service level noticeably dipped. We particularly thank Michaela, Ode and Caesar in the dining room for their cheerfulness and professionalism. Our package included two bookings at the specialist restaurants, We chose SeaSoul one night, which is located outdoors on the side of the promenade and Portofino, the Italian restaurant one other night. The service at SeaSoul was particularly good and we enjoyed the food at both. This was our first visit to this hotel although we have visited Costa Adeje a number of times. The location on the front was very convenient, and we found the whole experience quiet and restful. We would be happy to return another time.

A fabulous family-friendly luxury hotel!
Just got back from a lovely week at the fabulous Iberostar Selection Anthelia hotel in Costa Adeje, Tenerife! We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we arrived the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on their face. Our kids had a great time at the kids' club. The food was outstanding—an all-inclusive buffet with a fantastic selection of delicious, healthy options and something for everyone. The fresh seafood, salads and international dishes were all beautifully prepared, and the dessert bar was absolutely to die for! The hotel’s facilities were also top-notch—great pools, well-maintained grounds and lovely, clean, well-equipped rooms. Everything was spotless and well cared for. Would highly recommend to families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday! 💙
