A Wonderful time at Presidente with Jose & Atocha
Jose & Atocha are a credit to the Presidente staff. They are attentive, friendly and make dinning enjoyable. They offered wonderful meal suggestions. As well as providing a bit of history to the Mayan dishes we ordered. I look forward to seeing them again on my next visit.

El Predidente in Cozumel
My wife and I returned to Cozumel for the first time since we sold our house there in 2020. We owned a beach house on the north end of the island for 15 years. Cozumel is a wonderful, safe, beautiful place for a vacation. El Predidente is a wonderful hotel, just south of Chankanab Park. It is not all inclusive as we enjoy getting around the island. We had a beautiful oceanfront room on the south of the property. They have a great pool and a really nice each area that is a small inlet from the ocean. Always impeccable service. Great food and a perfect atmosphere. We loved our house but we found we were not going as much do decided to sell. El Predidente is now our preferred spot.

Smaller resort with great snorkling & food
The beach and snorkling were great, bring your own gear. We saw all sorts of fish and a stingray. The restaurants and food were also really good. Seafood pasta at the Italian restaurant was my fav. The breakfast buffet was lovely. Large hot tub that was never too hot, and we spent a lot of time in. I was worried it wouldn't be family friendly, but it was fine! We were there on probably the coldest week of the year. It also rained a lot, which wasn't ideal as there was no lobby bar or much of a hang out spot indoors. All the restaurants you had to go outside to get to. Tip: Pool side rooms are very, very far away from everything as they are at the pool off the beach. I would request a room closer to the main area next time. We also had to switch rooms due to our door not shutting and thus having some bug issues, annoying, but we got upgraded due to status to a better room.

Swings above it's class when it comes to accomondations.
The Presidente InterContinental Cozumel has been around since 1969. But the constant updates you would never know it. Clean, modern rooms, good WiFI everywhere, awesome restaurants, pools, beaches, and scuba! Booked through Costco, which was a great value. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility is quiet when it needs to be. We took advantage of the breakfast buffet every day since it was included in our package. This isn't your average hotel continental breakfast though. They had literally everything, from a cooked to order omelet station, fresh made breakfast quesadillas, pastries, European fare, etc. Great coffee too! The pool areas are well maintained and clean. There are two main pools, and a hot tub. They were never so crowded you didn't want to be there. The relaxation pool which adjoined our room was quiet especially in the evening. The food was excellent. There are four restaurants on site, and we enjoyed 3 of them during our stay. The prices were what I would consider middle of the road for a high end resort, definitely no sticker shock. If you are here to dive, Scuba Du is their on resort dive shop and is excellent (see separate review). Only two small gripes. The AC got the temp down in the room just fine but the humidity was pretty high regardless. Makes it tough to dry things out. I get that this is the Caribbean, but I was surprised everything always felt damp. And not so much a hotel issue, but a warning that will hopefully keep someone in the future from finding this out the hard way. The ATM in the lobby is absolute highway robbery. They charge a $7.95 fee (fine, that's about average) but then also charge a 7.95% fee. You'll note the numbers are exactly the same so it's easy to miss but it cost us $450 to withdraw $400. Bring your cash with you. Great resort, will recommend to friends as THE place to stay in Cozumel!
