Great stay!! Amazing place, very clean, service by all was outstanding, food was great, we love the smiles and friendly employees. Shows and other activities were top notch. Beach is clean and appreciate all the seats available. This was our 3rd stay and we will be coming back! Thanks to all!

Adrian and Aristides were excellent staff excellent service!!! This place is awesome!! Our rooms and food was excellent! I had so much steak and lobsters! I have been to many all inclusive and this place was definitely the best! We came last October and it seems like it has gotten even better!

Our happy place
We went to the Joia last January and loved it so much we went again this year. It was another great trip with absolutely perfect weather all week! Room- we do a basic suite since we are hardly in it. Last year we were ground floor in building 72 across from the spa. This year we were second floor building 74. Much preferred building 72 as it was a slightly shorter walk to most everything. This year we also got placed in a room with two doubles. Not ideal even though they offered to push the beds together. Restaurants- the food was good, not great, at the ale cartes. Buffet was always very good for breakfast & lunch. We had no problems with the no reservation system. I will say, we tried 3 restaurants at other resorts and the food was average at best and the restaurants were packed. VERY different experience than Joia. (Last year we really enjoyed the couple restaurants we tried at the other resorts.) Entertainment was overall good. The star friends do a great job engaging everyone. It was nice seeing shows in the theater although we usually skip them because they start too late for us. 😆 We did miss Angel Garcia in the lobby and thought the evening entertainment in the bar was somewhat lacking this year. Pool/beach- we had one incident with 2 ladies accusing us of stealing their chairs. I can assure you we did not. If you place towels on chairs to save them, I would recommend also leaving a personal item. The pool staff can clear towels if they have not seen anyone in the chair after a certain period of time. However, be considerate and don't save them if you don't plan to use them anytime soon. Drinks and service at the pool was always great. Luz is a gem and always working so hard with a smile on her face. She was always recommending new drinks for my husband to try, and we made sure to get a chair in her area. Don't hesitate booking this resort. I fear we love the "grand" so much that we may have a hard time ever trying some place new. 😊

Still the best
We have been coming to this beautiful resort since it opened in 2006. “Grand” has been taking out of the name but not in my heart. Beach is beautiful, you can always get chairs under a papala. We didn’t sit at pool this visit but lots of chairs and Bali beds (you don’t pay extra for). We love the elegant restaurants. Every meal was delicious and romantic..Theater is back open for shows which such a nice addition and fun way to end the night. We miss some of the old shows with 70’smusic . Hoping they make their way back to rotation..rooms (all suites) so large (we love two sinks at opposite end of each other) , two closets and private large balcony. Full Ocean View never grows old. Complimentary private airport transfer was new. Prompt with very nice touch . New Coffee shop was also a great addition So nice to see staff that’s been there from the beginning. Ricardo’s welcome and Daniel’s drinks highlight of our trip. Paulina always takes great care of us and ready to listen to the guests…can’t wait to come back to truly the most relaxing resort
